Some assembly is required. It is slightly confusing as to how to put the cover on, but pretty intuitive and overall easy to put together. A little stinky when you first open it like most wedge pillows/memory foam items but it becomes less smelly over time. The quality of all the materials, including the zippers seem pretty durable—so pretty easy to fully remove the cover for cleaning. The cover itself is a smoother but slip resistant material, so not too slippery, easy to clean, likely resistant to liquids, and keeps your legs from sliding off. Which is honestly a great combo for casual use or even massage table use. I also like that the size of this pillow isn’t as large as other wedge pillows I’ve had, so it’s easier to store. Even though it’s not as large, the shape makes it easy to use for legs for myself (5’2) or my husband (5’11). Bonus—the height is perfect for me to use while laying down to help take pressure off my lower back. Lastly, the straps are in very convenient spots for someone using the pillow or not using the pillow. I love this because I can adjust the position easily while in use, or have an easy way to carry this like a brief case when moving it around while not in use. This Bolster Pillow for Leg Support is currently priced at $29. That's a pretty average price for similar products. This one stands out to me because of the well designed contour for added comfort, and the absolutely amazing feeling cover. The contour provides full lower leg support, which is really nice compared to others that are flat and leave pressure points. The material of the pillow itself is pretty normal foam. It's not amazing, but not bad either. The cover on the other hand feels like silk got frisky with a cloud and both were into leather. I don't know how long it'll hold up for, but in my experience this sort of foam is fairly durable, and will last for a least a couple years before needing to be replaced.
