I have strawberry-blonde eyelashes. If I'm not wearing mascara, you don't see them. I was using Essence, which is a great mascara, and while it lengthens and thickens, it kind of gives you that caked on look. At least, it did for me. The Almay mascara also lengthens and thickens, BUT it looks SO much more natural -- no caking (or smudging, which the Essence did do -- even the waterproof). Also, this is way, way, way easier to remove. Lastly, I have sensitive eyelids and this mascara does not cause an allergic reaction, which is a huge plus. ... show more

This mascara is good for sensitive eyes. It is super easy and smooth to apply, as well as super easy to remove. It lasts all day long and you can barely feel you have it on. The reason why I give it 4 stars is that, while it gives lenght to your lashes, I just wish it was a little more dramatic. I am always looking for a mascara which does that, but if you just want to accentuate your lashes and prioritize sensitivity, this mascara is the perfect one. Also, the price is really good. I definitely do recommend it! I am glad I tried this brand. In the picture I am attaching: 1. My natural lashes. 2. With Almay 3. I’ve been loving this mascara—it makes my lashes look so much thicker without that heavy, clumpy feel. It glides on easily, stays put all day, and never irritates my sensitive eyes. It’s the one I keep reaching for every morning, I have a few different brands but I like this one the most.

It rinses off with water when I wash my face at night and the sensation is akin to washing conditioner out of your hair. It feels moisturized. No need for tugging or anything on the lashes. Love this mascara and have been using it for years. It covers my thin light eyelashes so it looks like I have lashes.. Resonably priced. It's not waterproof but I don't want that. Waterproof it too hard to get off withoug losing some eyelashes. This stays in place and comes off very easily. It's the one I always reach for. ... show more

I have worked as a Beauty for four top cosmetic companies. Over the years, I made close friends with three women who worked for other high end brands. I also wore yet another brand for years when I was younger. Between my friends and I we’ve tried and spilled the tea about every product in most brands. As someone who has “graduated into a higher age category,” as we used to say in the industry, ALMAY works best for me. It looks natural and comes off easily. It’s hypo-allergenic and my eyes are sensitive. The only negative? “It’s not water-proof. So it’s not for you if you are a swimmer or live in a very hot climate and have a sweat problem.
