Description

DIVIDE, DIG, CHOP, CUT! Only the finest can bring out your best. Hand selected by Martha and tested on her farm, MTS-HHK Hori-Hori Garden Knife is a classic twist on a fan favorite tool. The multi-purpose design makes it the go-to tools for gardeners everywhere! Divide plants and soil, dig trenches and holes, chop up clumps of soil and roots, cut through thick thatches and brush — the Hori Hori is inspired by old-world style gardening tools, with the modern gardener in mind. The concave blade has a double-edged design — straight for precise edging, and serrated to saw through tough branches. Plus, the galvanized steel, 5. 7-inch blade features inch markings, so you’ll always plant at the proper depth. • Weeder
This is one of the best tools to remove weeds I've ever used!

  • Not a bad tool but nisaku horihori+stirrup hoe is better
Style: Hori-Hori Garden Knife
It's not a BAD tool but I have a hula hoe and a nisaku hori hori japanese traditional garden knife, and this does a worse job than either for any given job I've tried it at. It has barely any ability to be used as a trowel, there isn't much "scoop" to the design. The forked section isn't very sharp and there isn't really any fulcrum built into the design to use the fork like a traditional weeding fork, so it's not very useful at all. The saw teeth are very small and not much good, much less effective than the meaty teeth of the nisaku hori hori. I will return it. If you have a small garden and you only have one tool for weeding, I suppose this wouldn't be a terrible one. But I have the other two tools (about $45 invested between them) and I find this is not useful. Really a hula hoe + any sturdy knife would be better imo. ... show more

  • Came with rust
Style: Hori-Hori Garden Knife
I don’t expect two big brands Martha and Sun Joe to build such a low quality product that builds rust over the product even before use

  • Came rusted but is still useful
Style: Hori-Hori Garden Knife
It arrived a bit speckled with rust but I kept it since it was so inexpensive. I have used it for several weeks now and find it very useful and sharp for cutting roots. I do recommend as it is low cost.

  • Can't and won't garden without it
Style: Hori-Hori Garden Knife
Ten years ago, I received on of these from a professional daylily grower as a promotion. Note: TEN years ago. From professionals who dig MASSIVE volumes of plants. In ten years, this knife never once bent. I planted hundreds of plants with it. It scratched and pitted, but it didn't really rust. Finally, after ten years of sawing through roots and digging holes, it began to grow dull, and I knew it was time to seek its replacement. I didn't even know what brand it was and assumed it was from a professional supplier until I stumbled on the picture on Amazon. Victory! I bought one for me, one for my daughter, and I plan to make this a go-to gift. It would be a perfect gift for a new home-owner--a true multi-tool. Love this. Happy Gardening! I received absolutely no compensation for this review. ... show more
