After researching many different grow lights, and not wanting to break the bank, I decided on the Mars Hydro TS 1000. When it first arrived, just taking it out of the box made it clear that no corners were cut in terms of quality. It's very well made, set up was a breeze, and as for output I'm currently finishing up two patio girls, three weeks into flower, which needed brought in due to colder weather. Best bang for my buck. Ive used this and other mars hydro models for years now. I trust these lights and plants love them. This particular model is really nice, like a small sun but not as hot! I like being able to dim them too.

Mars hydro lights r the best bang for ur buck from a company that has pioneered the industry! I do so much research that I feel obligated to add my tidbits for the review reader whose considering this purchase. U need this my friend! the upgraded ts1000 is definitely where it’s at as far as usage/temp/output etc so if u can snag a couple, give them a try 🪐 I say this bc I have had two mars hydro ts600 100 watt since last august and they r much hotter than the new model. Also they have no dimmer function and less output than the new ts 1000 150 watts. Anyway… u can do more with this light than ur thinking. I have 4 lamps in a 5x5 which serves me well for adjusting when the canopy is uneven/diff size plants growing together, can turn one or two off when too hot or just not in use. the list goes on but it’s 6am so I hope u find the light that works for u… I’m happy with this one but if ur hesitant to spend big bucks before knowing whether ur going to enjoy/perform well growing, u might try the ts600 by mars hydro instead! The media could not be loaded. Mars Hydros lights are working exceptionally well for my garden and I! I love the fact that you can tell how well the plants thrive under their light compared to flourescents I have used. I am also very pleased with the design of the light as it is very efficient in the light output and area light saturation. The suggestion for using a fan works perfectly as it keeps the lights very cool. I love the capability to dim the lights to the intensity you want as well. This dimming option allows your light to be the right intensity in all stages of growing and is an exceptional option to have! The ability to dim was one of the buying points, which brings me to how much I enjoy the "daisy-chaining" capability! It's nice to know your lights are all set equally the same. I was actually so pleased with the exceptional quality and design, that I talked myself into purchasing another model, the TSL-2000. I can literally say that, I've never seen anything more magnificent! As before mentioned, I love the "daisy- chaining" functionality! In conclusion, I would greatly recommend your products! I enjoy both the TS-1000 and the TSL-2000 that your company has created, as do my plants! They both carry efficiency on not only cost but light output as well! I also greatly appreciate the suggestions on hanging distance, cal-mag supplementation and climate information. I only hope to one day enjoy the experience of your more expensive models for helping create the beauty of life that we know as plants! PRO's - Price, great bang for the buck. Bright, LED's get warm but not hot. Dimmable - great for seedlings, veg..ok for flower. Cost effective. Great for beginners, but if your going to be growing more than 2 plants later on down the line (cannabis) I'd go for something bigger. CONS - The Driver gets hot to the touch..I know it's meant to, but makes me uneasy knowing something is getting that hot in a closed unoccupied room. They say 2-4 Plants is ok..I'm going to say 2 Only (with my type of plants) 4 Small plants would be ok, less than 1 ft, mine will be in the 4-5 ft range...their's no way the TS1000 would adequately cover 4 of those plants..for my liking anyway. ... show more
