I bought one, then bought two more (so far) - the light pattern on these is the most balanced I’ve found so far. All comparable lights are the same cost/watt. My only complaint is that they could be easier to hang. There are 2 oval openings on each end (maybe 3cm wide) which I found narrow S-hooks I hang directly to the tent ceiling polls. (You could also loop the two S-hooks around a traditional adjustable hanging set but there is nothing on the light big enough to put a clip through directly.) Heat-wise they're very good. Also very bright, don’t look directly at it without UV sunglasses or you’ll likely have semi-blurry vision for a few hours. I’ve got three lights in a 5x5 daisy-chained to one control knob (you still need to plug all three in individually). My first light was an SF-4000 which I was very happy with at first but ultimately on that one I realized the importance of the evenness of PAR and will stick with these for now. I can’t speak to the higher-end lights out there and whether they’re worth the extra money but this is definitely a great mid-range light. You may also want to research Far Red lights that you setup to come on 15 min before normal lights and are on for 15 min after the lights go off which acts like a sunrise/sunset and wakes the plants up whereas supposedly without Far Red the first two hours the plant isn’t really using the light but rather in the wakeup process - same thing at night, plants rebuild at night like people (and actually do the growing at night) but without Far Red they waste the first two hours of darkness. Those lights are cheap, use little power and only need to be on 30 minutes/day. You’d hate to think you’re wasting 1/6th of your electricity and available time while plants wake up from total darkness to 100% intensity for 12 hours then back to total darkness. - You might also try 13.5 hours of light in flower. Between the first SF-4000, One of these lights (750 total watts) and one Far Red I got 1.5 GPW (trimmed and cured) on my first run - hoping for 2+ with 900 watts of even coverage on the next.

This is a very nicely made light - light and durable, and so easy to hang. The light dispersion is very even, and hanging several of these lights next to one another creates a very even canopy. I bought my first in 2020 and it is still going strong 8 of the 12 months a year. Half the heat, half the power cost of MHs and HPSs. Bought another and the driver failed after one year and MARS HYDRO responded in 24 hours. After some checks of the system they had me do they sent me another driver within 3 days!! No costs, no hassles, great live people on the other end of the email. I also have a TS3000 - 2 years continuous use and going strong. And no changing bulbs!

I was in search of a good quality light for my plants. I had made an enclosure I have bought 2 mars hydro fans. One is Bluetooth controlled which is pretty cool. My new light showed up an I got it hanging and level. Then I realized it didn't have an on off switch or a dimmer knob. I was a little worried because I thought great now I'm going to need to box it up and send it back. I really didn't want to do this and have my plants in the dark. I decided maybe if I reach out to Mars Hydro we can figure something out or I can just have my timer be the switch and just change the height. I reached out through email and these guys are awesome! After a few emails back and forth and a couple pics they are sending me the dimmer switch and then sent me a link with an installation video. Everything was handled and they are sending me the new switch. No hassle hands down the best customer service I have ever had to deal with. And this light is amazing. There products are really nice I'm impressed 😁

So far so good. The wattage is 286 at the max setting. It fills a 2x4 nicely. I bought a mars hydro ts 3000 and a cheap brand 3.5 years ago. The cheap brand had a led strip go out and was only putting half the power but the mars hydro is still going strong so that's what made me go with mars hydro.

SP3000 is an incredible value; includes dimmer, detachable ballast, 2x5 foot print. Very impressive. Sufficient for flowering/fruiting plants as well. Ease of control and setup. This light is - to three or four TS-1000s at a reduced operating cost.

This light is excellent. I've been consistently hitting at least 7oz dry with 2 plants in a 4x2x5 foot tent. I recently upped some of the nutrient levels in my DWC buckets, and it has made a dramatic increase in growth. The pictures in this review are my current plants under the Mars Hydro. Based on their growth rate, the should easily top 8oz each. This is a very good light. It doesn't get very hot. You can mount the power supply outside of the tent, because they give you a long enough cord to do so... unlike most other lights. Most of all, it has a very good and even light distribution. The light is almost 4 feet long but only a few inches wide, yet it covers a 2 foot wide canopy very well. The light is worth the money.

As a packaged unit, this light fixture is excellent. I moved 5 large plants under a single SP3000 unit and they have responded to the spectrum very well. I feel like I can get another in there and they would still be happy, but for the price and quality, I immediately ordered a second one ($50 off coupon didn't hurt). It isn't much and I'm always impressed by stupid little things, but the adjustable hanger supports that came with the unit are the coolest little things ever! Really love these fixtures so far. Perhaps I'll update later with the most important results...the harvest!! No doubt will be as expected or better.
