When I received the fan I had an issue with it being pretty loud, sounded like it wanted to take flight.. I contacted customer service and I was greeted with nothing but respect and professionalism, right away I was offered a discount on the product or for them to send me a replacement one free of cost.. I was sent my tracking number and the new one is on its way! I own many Mars hydro products and after this I will stick with them, you don't get customer service like this from many other companies now days! Amazing people and products! I will post an update when the new one comes!

I like this fan because it is very easy to use and the speed controller has a cord long enough to be easily mounted on the wall. I also purchased a 6 inch to 4 inch splitter to put on this fan and now I use it to feed fresh air to 2 of my Mars Hydro 4x4x80 Grow Tents. These guys have solid products and top notch customer service. Definitely would recommend to my friends, and I do, and I would make these purchases again. Thanks Mars!!!!

This unit does exactly what I needed it to do. I have a 3' x 2'.5'', 4' high grow room and it keep the smell away and the temps where I need them to be. I have my unit set to turn on automatically if temp hits 75 or humidity goes above 50%. Noise is Okay, but you can't expect anything quieter when the fan needs to adjust when your grow space adjusts. I do wish the 'min temps' setting would be programmed to STOP the units if temps or humidity fall below a certain point, but it does not work that way. That is probably the only downside, it is one or the other.

I've only been testing this fan/filter for a few weeks, but so far I'm very happy. It moves a ton of air in my 4x4 and the fan (which I installed inside the tent) is decently quiet when cranked up to max settings. It was very easy to assemble and install, and I have no experience with these kinds of things. I did opt to seal the ducting with aluminum foil tape in addition to the hose clamps -- the tape needs to be bought separately. That said, I don't know if that's even necessary. The smart monitor is REALLY nifty. Tons of settings to automatically adjust for different scenarios when certain conditions are met. When I thought I had a problem with the monitor (it was actually just me being dumb though) customer support responded to my question in a few hours. Really can't complain! I'll try to update a year or so down the road and let you know how well it ages. In the meantime though, I'm a happy camper..

This is an excellent little in-line fan that seems to pack some power and would be ideal for a 3x3 space. It has a great rate of air exchange that can be turned up or down on their digital controller where you can also set alarms for high/low temps and humidity which can be extremely useful for monitoring purposes- it also comes with the appropriate size carbon filter, ducting, and ducting clamps so you can get everything set up right away! Super convenient and easy to use, an excellent option for your space!

The 4" Mars Hydro inline filter/fan unit works very well in my 2.5 x 2.5 tent. It creates good airflow and has the basic features such as temp and humidity triggers. And if you do have problems, Mars Hydro provides excellent customer service

So its a fan, filter, ducting combo. Its rather noisy and echoes in the filter and thru the ducting. It took a couple emails back and fourth but the seller did end up refunding me the value of the fan in the event of a failure. The noise comes from the fan blades ticking against the inner walls of the fan shroud which fould eventually cause the blades to potentially fail. The fan and filter do the job, you wouldnt know I was drying my plants in the room just next to the living room so long as the door is closed. I would suggest getting another set of clamps for the ducting. Also if youre planning on mounting the fan to anything you have to REMOVE the fan from the housing and mount the housing and then reinstall the fan
