I have looked everywhere for all natural, cotton, or wool rugs since my baby is starting to crawl and put his mouth on everything. These are oeko-tex certified and NOT Made in China. They are beautiful and I look forward to having them in my home! There is no plastic underside or PVC backing. Wow! This isn't a super thick rug but it is VERY well made. The weave is tight. The pattern is consistent. I have a thick rug pad under it in this pic. I am so pleased with how it looks and the quality. It says it is machine washable but I don't see me ever doing that; maybe a smaller version but this is the largest (not quite 8x10)I really like the company, Mark & Day, that it drop-ships from as well. This is a high-quality washable rug that was a perfect solution for our household. We have two dogs that come in and out of the house all day tracking in dirt. Our oldest dog got sick on the rug and we were able to clean everything up without a stain. We haven't had to wash the entire rug yet because of its resistance to dirt and stains. The rug is nice looking but it gets dirty very easily! I have had it one month in my living room and it is already dirty. We don’t wear shoes in the house but we do have two dogs, I was hoping it could be cleaned easily, but it has natural grooves where the weave is and it traps dirt. I have a carpet cleaner and am hoping it works, if it doesn’t I won’t be able to keep it long. Pretty disappointed. ... show more

The rug has a cute pattern, other than that it’s really not worth the money. It’s more of an outdoor style rug. Very thin and kind of hard to make a look flat. It also arrived with a huge stain on it as pictured. I would not order from Amazon again for a rug.
