I have used this face wash for about 3 years and always ordered from Amazon. This last batch I ordered 3 on Black Friday when the big bottle was like 13$, rather than 25 normal price. There was always a seaweed bland type smell and it was a little thick, but these 3 new bottles have a rosemary type smell to it and it’s become a bit runny. I don’t get much acne even without face wash and have used this just to clean my face and keep it feeling fresh, but these new bottles have made me break out pretty bad and even a little rashy. The ingredients show it’s the same from my older bottles but it’s clearly not. Anyone could tell this just by comparing the smells and textures. Not sure what’s going on but may have to get a bottle from Sephora to see if they made the changes to all bottles or if these bottles are possibly tampered with. Very disappointing but this face wash has always been necessary to my daily routine and hope the formula is still the same. Will update this review when I get other bottles and compare.

It's really hard to apply the reviews on skin care products since we all have different skin types and needs. I was getting a little worried when I saw all the negative comments regarding the scent. But I have to say they were pretty over dramatic. The scent really isn't that strong or bad. I understand if you are extremely sensitive, then maybe. But some of the reviews were people saying they were not sensitive and could barely handle the smell. The soap literally has bits of seaweed in it, so it does have an odd smell. But it certainly had no affect on my opinion of the product because so far my skin is loving it. Probably not strong enough by itself to combat acne- but I bought several other products form this line for that. This is a great cleanser for everyday use for those of us who are sensitive to acne medications. I have used this every morning and evening since my purchase, and my skin has had zero bad effects. Which is huge for me regarding skincare. Definitely worth giving it a try if you're considering this buy. I will definitely be open to buying more of this when I go through my current bottle!

Love this facial cleanser! I break out with cystic acne and get over dried by using Epiduo Forte (prescription). I’ve tried all cleansers and this one cleanser leaves my face feeling clean, fresh and not stripped of my natural oil! It’s amazing! I even have my 14 year old daughter using it and she loves it as well! Please don’t discontinue! :)

I'm so disappointed to learn that Mario Badesco products use toxic and harmful PARABENS. My fertility doctor urged me to check all my products and I read it on the label plain as day. I guess it's my fault for not looking closer - MB just seemed like such a trusted brand! Of course there are many factors that lead to infertility, but according to my doctor (and Rebecca Fett, author of It Start With The Egg) and EWG.org, these PARABENS are big offenders. Just another reminder to do your research and advocate for your own health!

I have dry, sensitive skin. This is a repurchase. I cannot get through the winter without this. This doesn't dry out my skin. It removes the makeup and uses seaweed as an very very light exfoliator. I use this morning and night. I took the quiz on mariobadescu.com and everything they have suggested has worked amazing. I love that this is the same price you get it for on their website. I have found that some of the sellers on amazon upsale. This is not that way. This also does everything it say it does. It is not for oily skin. I would say this is dry to normal skin would benefit the best from this.
