    • The grips are too short and they don't fit over the bar easily

I bought these clamps to use with my standard 1" straight bar but they did not fit the bar without a lot of effort to put on and take off. I managed to misplace one of my old clamps (25+ years old) and got these to replace but, what a big disappointment. They do not fit over the bar without a lot of jockeying and twisting. And, the hand grips are TINY... my old spring clamps have hand grips that are a full 1.50 inches longer. Why do manufacturers do this on everything... they scrimp on quality and good-design to squeeze the last penny of profit... at the buyers expense. How much more could it have cost to make a set of clamps that work perfectly and are easy and comfortable to use. If you have large hands or if you have a touch of Arthritis or any weakness in your hands don't make matterrs worse buy buying anything that doesn't suit your purpose. ... show more
