Like everyone else, I've migrated to lots of at home workouts and needed something to protect the wood floors. The item is as described @3/4 inch thick. Coloring and zigzag interlocking jigsaw in design is stable. I've placed the mat on my hard wood floors and for the most part very good. It provides enough cushioning that when I do heavy chest presses, I can rollover comfortably and do not mind laying 30+ pound weights on the mat for a short period of time. After a few minutes though, there are indentations from the weight-but go away after a brief time. I would not want to leave heavy weights on it for extended time though as fear the indentations will eventually become permanent, which is disappointing. The mat is cushioned for comfortable burpees, jumping jacks etc, squats, etc. I think the drawback is that it is almost too much cushion and not enough high density. When I am in plank position, I do notice my wrist dips into the mat and creates a hyperextension which actually is uncomfortable for my previously injured wrist. My other wrist which is normal does not feel any pain. It is the difference in the two hands which is why I know the mat dents. For that, I am a bit disappointed. It is good cushion, but almost too much and does not hold it's shape for a weight I believe is still only middle range. The mats do stay together interlocked, no issue as far as I see at the moment. It's too late for me to return as I have mixed feelings on this product. If it wasn't for the fact that it took several weeks to be delivered, and I needed something for at home workout floor protection, I would of returned. So many items are hard to find even 6months into the covid era. Perhaps 1/2 inch would of been better in retrospect, or try a different brand altogether. I also feel it is a bit on the pricey side. $30 would of been more appropriate. ... show more

I bought this treadmill b/c I get bored easy and need multiple options to workout. Plus with Covid I’m working out at home. I like the built in workouts available and the ease of use. As I’m taller I have to be very conscious of my stride. In the beginning I found myself almost stepping off the back. I’ve become more familiar and it’s a bit more natural to me know but I wish the running board was a bit longer. Although there is a decent range of speeds available I was hoping to be able to do an easy jog but unfortunately I can’t get enough speed to do more than a very fast walk. I live in a cold, rainy climate, and I cannot always exercise comfortably outdoors. Thus, I was looking to buy mats for exercising indoors. I also live on the third floor in an apartment complex with downstairs neighbors, so I needed mats that could absorb some sound. I previously bought some thin interlocking mats when I lived on a ground floor apartment, but they slipped around a lot when I moved around on them and did not absorb much sound. Therefore, I decided to buy thicker interlocking mats from Marcy Fitness Flooring. So far, I am very happy with the mats as they perform better than expected. The mats feel of high quality, they are thick enough to absorb the noise of me jumping around fairly well (my downstairs neighbors have not heard me doing my plyometric routines), and they provide sufficient cushioning when I am jumping on them. These new mats put my previous thin mats to shame. The only reason I give the product a four star is that the non-slip grippy surface is only on one side, and it would have been great if the mats were grippy on both sides. As it is, I do not slip on the mat when doing yoga or stretching, but the mat starts slipping to the side when I am move around a little more. ... show more

I got one of those small lounge pools for my boys and needed something under it to keep rocks and what not from putting holes in it. Pool pads are expensive and being on a budget I needed something that was cheap but not cheaply made. I ordered 3 sets of these. They have done exactly what they are suppose to and so far have protected the bottom of the pool.. I would recommend these if you need to protect the bottom of a pool. also I think if you put double sided tape on the bottom they could be used as matting for the floor if you stand in one spot a long time. (they do slide easily on the concrete..) gave them only a 4 star cuz they do slide easily so if your using them as a mat for standing it could be dangerous. I have almost landed on my behind a few times from the matts that are around outside of pool. ... show more

One package came with six squares. I used four of them for my exercise equipment and have two left over. Truth be told, I could have gotten away with using only three: two for my stationary bike and one for my vibration machine. There are ten edge strips so that my mat is a square with smooth, not ragged, sides. I wasn't expecting those strips, so it was a pleasant surprise. These are exactly what I needed for my home gym. They're large, good quality, and fit together easily. As other reviewers have noted, they have an odor, but I keep a window cracked while working out and the smell is dissipating. It wasn't overpowering and didn't stop me from buying a second set of these. Update: These are still working really well in my home gym. I unintentionally left my barbell with Olympic plates attached (about 100 lbs total) on the mats for 3 weeks and was concerned that the deep divots from the weight plates would be permanent, but they popped back out within 48 hours. I also have a rowing machine on top of the mats and they do a great job of keeping it in place. I've also dropped heavy weights on the mat and while I won't do that on purpose, I was pleased at how well they protected the floor beneath them.
