  • Good quality ball
Good ball for everyday play.

  • Little too soft
Not strong enough for competition quality

  • Great balls but can get scratched easily
Been using these for about a month now and are pretty good. They are very good quality and are good for spin. Although they are good, they have one major downside. They get scratched up so easily. I just play normal ping pong and am not hitting hard at all and the paint/coloring on the ball gets scratched up. However, the scratches do not affect the playability of the balls. They still work great and you are getting amazing value for the money. Would recommend ... show more

  • Very durable and available in bulk. Great for communal, non-professional use.
Very durable and available in bulk. I buy these for play at work and they are used by my shared play center pretty often. Use would be M-F by at least 30-40 games per day. I like them, but a lot of friends don't when compared to premium Butterfly/etc. 3-star, 40mm balls. I don't go through them often, but balls are most commonly lost up into the exposed plenum rather than tiring out/being destroyed. Overall I'm satisfied. Note 1: New balls will leave distinctive powder marks on your bats. They're definitely covered in something that will fade and then make the ball a proper bright orange over the first several games. The light powder stuff ends up on your bats. I clean my bat after use, and leave my sponges/cleaning solution available for the floor for anyone looking to use it. You might not be doing this, so you could definitely call these balls dirty. As a dumb perk, you can be damn sure you either hit or missed the sweet spot on your bat after play with new balls, as you can see each hit on the rubber. Note 2: Ball is perceived as much heavier than others. It requires more force to get farther, so you can expect a bit more spin with less speed. If your friends like to get fast they will suffer. Mileage may vary, but I still manage to slam these suckers pretty good. May be a learning curve, but I'd like to let others know what the impressions were. ... show more

  • Excellent balls for robot play!
These are excellent balls with an even bounce. I have had these for less than a week, but so far it's been great. Even bounce, even speed off the table, and pretty decent for the money. I would recommend these for robot play.

  • Great quality for the price
I am a certified coach with USATT and run a table tennis club. I have been buying Nittaku plastic 40+ balls in 2* and 3* for my club's play. These match the size and bounce identically with the Nittaku balls, although they seem to be celluloid 40+ size. In play they sound a little louder bouncing off the racket. I found maybe 10% in a small sample that wobbled a little in a spin test on a table. These play very well (spin and speed) for most club use. I probably wouldn't use them for tournaments, but they seem to be a great buy if the supplier can maintain this level of quality for this price over future manufacturing batches. I will be supplying these for my club's play (but I will be discarding the wobbly balls before use). I will continue to purchase the Nittaku balls for the players that really want them. If you will be participating in an up-coming tournament you should practice for a while with the balls that the tournament organizers will be providing, since the various commercial plastic balls all play a bit differently. ... show more
