  • Outstanding ping pong robot
I am very impressed with this product. I was losing a little too often to my son so decided to give myself an unfair advantage while he is away at college. Saw a video on the Spittin' Chicklets podcast and decided to order one myself. The quality of the machine is outstanding and it works great. Surprisingly easy to set up and comes with everything you need - even 100+ ping pong balls. Lots of settings so you can practice returning a variety of serves / shots. Just a lot of fun to use and thanks to the collection net the only balls you have to chase are the ones that get past you. In a world where products don't always come as advertised this one is the real deal and I look forward to years of use. ... show more

  • Confidence booster
I read a lot of reviews on products like this one and about this one. I ultimately decided to buy this product. Of the things I read, difficulty setting up was more frequently read than other things. The other thing was frequency of balls being launched. I wanted to provide a legit review, so I decided to use this product for a little over one month before commenting. I love this product. The setup was very easy. I would say that anyone should be able to figure it out. It is almost like a plug-in-play item in its ease of setup and use. The frequency of balls is variable from slow to fast. The slowest is just fine and the fastest is great. I have used this product now 5 days a week for 45 minutes per session. The machine works perfectly. I love it. I think the thing I love the most is that I have improved my game drastically. When playing recreationally it is hit or miss when it comes to specific shots in game. I didn't realize just how weak my backhand was. I have been able to practice my form and backhand shots daily seeing a noticeable difference. I used to shy away from certain strokes of the paddle but now I feel confident on either side. I have been very pleased with this product, and I hope others will have the chance to enjoy this product as well. ... show more

  • It's fun to play
overall very good product for its price, easy to setup and it comes with a lot balls you don't need buy extra. it's also easy to remove if you need play with human player. Some suggestions: * the serving frequency is too fast even at lowest settings, so far I only used the lowest setting * the catching curtain should cover most metal launching device except the hole for balls, I have a lot balls hitting the metal and they just bunce off the table * the random/irregular serving function goes way too fast than a real human player * It would be nice for the control panel to connect to phone, which the user can define certain serving patterns. Thanks! ... show more

  • Didn't need instructions to set up. Simply followed their excellent video "showing each step"
I have been using for only 2 days, but have been very pleased with the product to this point. I have tried all of the options on the controller and all have worked fine. Over time I may change my opinion, but so far the features, set up and the options the controller provides have been great (i.e. has several options to set up serving; the net works great and the balls cue up and a ready for the next serve). I didn't choose any extended warranty plan may wish I had later since it appears to be plastic. They did include 2 replacement wheels in the package and directions on how to replace them on the unit. ... show more

  • Great Robot for Solo Practice, Even with Conversion (pool table topper) Tables
The media could not be loaded. See the video above for an example of the robot in action for solo practice (oscillation set to 1, ball frequency set to 1, topspin at 3 and backspin at 2). Although it does take a bit of adjusting to get it the way you want the balls to hit the table (spins, speed, frequency, location), this machine works great for solo practice and working on various shots. Once it is set and adjusted, which takes a combination of manually adjusting the head up or down, and varying the topspin/backspin value, it can provide virtually unlimited practice because of the capture net and constant cycling of the balls. The manufacturer is very helpful with any issues that arise, but so far, this machine has worked great for me. The review titled “Very Disappointing” needs to either adjust the topspin/backspin numbers, or adjust the head higher. At a topspin of 1 and backspin of 0, the wheels don’t spin fast enough. I’ve found 3/2 to be the slowest, or 2/1 if you adjust the head much higher than that video shows. As for clearance on a conversion table topper, note that you will need about 6.5 inches of space between the ping pong table and the pool table it sits on to accommodate the robot. It works fine on my 8-foot pool table, although it’s slightly off-center so there is more clearance on the robot side than the side I’m standing on. Overall, I feel this is a great value for the price and highly recommend it. ... show more

  • An excellent robot
I love that the net sides and the robot are attached. I love the continuous pitching of balls. I love the adjustment to receive 2 bounce serves and high balls. It's accelerated my playing level. Also, the promise of replacement parts when that time comes. So Iove it!

  • Robot came WITHOUT being fully built! No plug receptacle.
This is nuts, and more than a little frustrating. This Robot was not even fully built when it was shipped. Someone put a black patch over the back of the wiring box where the receptacle for the plug was supposed to go, and when you remove it, it's just a circuit board - no female DC plug receptacle. Can't connect power, so can't toss me ping-pong balls. I will be looking for another brand. ... show more

  • Good enough
It does the job but will require manual adjustments of head for how you want the ball to throw. I like simple one touch buttons for practice. The main complaints are 1) the bracket to hold the controller does not fit my Butterfly Club 25 table. 2) the print on the ball is of poor quality and leave a lot of marks on my paddle. 3) power cord is too short. Not sure if I will keep it yet. Despite the quick one touch button, you need to stop the game to adjust throw head angle. It also doesn’t do multiple position oscillation. Only left or right or oscillate left and right. This works for basic practice. ... show more
