I purchased the Joola outdoor table tennis table. My main concern was that I was buying something that was obviously large and wasn't certain how it would be delivered. I also read some reviews that the packaging may not have been that good as some recipients expressed concern over damaged box arriving to their residence. THAT WAS NOT the case with my delivery and should be with your delivery. I was thrilled with the delivery and here's why.. 1) Upon ordering I was advised of a dates I could receive my delivery. 2) I was offered multiple time slots for delivery 3) Delivery personnel ( 2 people) arrived on time at my house in a Ryder Truck. 4) Very courteous and placed the box inside my home as I requested. About the packaging: 1) I wish I had taken photographs as it was very solid packaging. 2) Large Square box, taped on all sides 3) Take the tape off, lift the top of the box and see a protective cover over the first half of the table. 4) Noticed that the corners of the box and the table were re-inforced. Table had plastic on edges, inner corners of box and sides of box were also lined with wood, thereby protecting the table. This was very solid packaging ! About the setup: 1) You should have two people . 2) Place a blanket on the floor. 3) Flip table so playing side is on the blanket 4) Joola gives all parts in one sealed package. open the package 5) Open the legs for the table 6) To attach the wheels ( the only thing you need to do), use the two wheel legs and the brackets supplied. Place the wheel leg flush to the leg on the table, place the brackets on each side of the leg and align the holes. 7) Use supplied bolts and nuts and finger tighten 8) Once finger tightened, you will need two wrenches. One holds the nut in place, the other tightens the bolt into the nut. 9) Press wheels into place. Real easy. 10) With two people, turn table right side up. It will stand on its own. 11) Follow steps for other table 12) Set tables against each other 13) Attach Net with hand tightening clip on the net to underside of tables. About playing on the table: 1) Alot of fun 2) My wife has found how to hit the ping pong ball to my left and win the point. 3) Ok, not really relative to my review, but its alot of fun and we are looking forward to having friends come over and play this summer in our backyard. Overall this is a great table. Please keep in mind that the two sides of the table will butt up to each other and the clamp that holds the net also connects the two table sides. This is shown from the manufacturer on their description and was fully expected. If you purchase this, just be aware that you will need to set the two tables up , level the legs and then attach the net last. You should only move the table when the net is off. Hope my review is helpful. If you are in the market for a quality outdoor table, buy this one. It may cost a little more but you get what you pay for.

I am rewriting this review and going from 3 to 5 stars after playing on the table for a few weeks and working with Joola customer service. My previously reported net issue has been solved - and the missing holes in one leg have no impact on stability of the table. Joola customer service responded quickly to my issues. This is a great table and it was easier to assemble than I expected. If you are thinking of an outdoor table, put this high on your list - and it is a great value at the price point. This table is a good value and design - fun to play and looks like it will last a long time outside in the elements. Love the big wheels. The 2 part table was an initial concern but it is a non issue and might be an advantage in maneuvering the table (better portability).

It is seriously a beautiful table, easy for someone who will read instructions to set-up, bigger wheels are awesome for moving the two sides inside/outside. Price decent but buyer beware. Manufacturer has clearly stored/shipped improperly and while the shipping box says to contact Joola, they denied responsibility and sent me to Amazon. The first Joola I ordered had large dents on one of the table sections. Some appeared consistent with skid loader forks; others circular and unknown. Didn't discover until all put together. Further discovered warping/frame bending along matching lengths of table so that sections wouldn't meet properly. Amazon doesn't provide direct phone line to support but takes you through pre-set automated responses. Eventually, got a great customer service phone contact who worked with me to replace the table and schedule pickup of the defective table. Received replacement table which wasn't dented, but seriously bent in the frame of both sides and ultimately, the smooth table top affixed to the frame. After several weeks, Amazon-contracted freight service Pilot emailed me for pickup with 8 hour window. Pilot failed to show at scheduled pickup and Amazon sent two notices to charge my account for the unreturned item. Amazon won't accept emails to the great customer service rep I worked with. Email to Pilot prompted return email from a manager to explain that pickups are auto-generated by Amazon and Pilot only schedules pickup if a driver is in my area. Pilot rep further stated staff would call me to schedule. I haven't heard anything, have defective units ready in garage since beginning of May; keeping a defective half because it's just too much work/time to take everything apart when it's the manufacturer's/Amazon's fault.

First, the packaging surrounding the table is very sturdy. Normal shipping should not harm this table. My table arrived with no dents or scratches. Second, two people are needed to start the assembly. After carefully cutting the top off the package, I laid the cardboard top on the ground. My wife and I then lifted one half of the table out of the box and placed it legs-up on the cardboard. When that piece is on the ground, assembly is simple when following the instructions. Note: the pin that holds the brake piece should be driven into the wheel holding assembly before bolting the wheels on. Without the wheels on, the pin and holes are much easier to line up. After completing the assembly on the first half, my wife assisted me in turning the table right side up. The table moves very easily on concrete. With my wife's help, I pulled out the second half for assembly. After both halves were finished, we rotated the table from horizontal to vertical after unlocking the table. Very little pressure was required to do this. The tables were very stable when moving. Although this table was expensive, the quality is definitely there. This is not the particle board table I played on as a kid.

This is a very nice outdoor table, and we have enjoyed it so far. I definitely encourage you to purchase the cover with it; the cover may seem high priced but it is very good quality and you’ll want to protect your investment! As much as I love this table, and think it is super easy to move and fold, there are several things I was disappointed about. First, don’t believe the reviews that boast of “10 minute assembly!” It took at least twice that amount of time just to unpack all the pieces and boxes inside the huge outer box! It did come well packed, with great thought in supports to protect it during transit. It also included good directions and had all the required pieces. My 2nd disappointment was that the wheels are plastic. They seem to be high quality, but I was expecting those sturdy rubber wheels. But so far the wheels work fine. A 3rd thing I’m not sure I like or dislike is that the table has to be moved in 2 separate pieces. It’s not difficult, but it would be nice if it all could be attached together and moved as 1 piece sometimes. When the table is open and set up, the only way to move it all at once is with 2 people. But it is easy to fold and unfold and 1 person can easily move the pieces alone. My biggest problem was that the table was defective. Based on the price and the reputation of the company, I did not expect the table to have 2 corners that had not been glued properly. There were gaps and the corners were not flush. I could literally squeeze the pieces together and hear the noise of it trying to adhere to the sticky tape or whatever it is they use to assemble the parts. It would not stay together by simply squeezing the pieces back together, so we had to use clamps and vices to hold them back in place. We had to leave it that way for days, which meant we couldn’t really play on it after we first got it, which was super frustrating. We did not add glue, but are keeping an eye on it, concerned we may have to repair it again. If so we will add some additional adhesive and clamp again. We cobsidered asking for the company to replace the defective part, but that seemed like a bigger hassle. Overall it seems like a very nice quality product, but to have it come defective when spending the kind of $ we did is super frustrating.

Well made, beautiful table, serious ping pongers should appreciate the smooth well marked surface. I was looking for something a bit more rustic, something I could roll around the back yard. Two things to note: A sturdy metal base surrounds the top surface providing protection for the top surface which is only about 3/8 of an inch thick - this is not a problem as long as the top is supported, in fact more than adequate. However, for some reason the top 3/8 of an inch is unsupported for the two inches where the two halves meet at the center of the table leaving the four inches in the center of the table vulnerable to bending. Second: The wheels are cheap plastic, while putting the table together I was already making plans to stop by Harbor Freight and buy some better wheels. Which brings us to shipping: The packing was great. Cardboard supported by masonsite sheets on each side. Thick rubber bumpers on each corner. Two hundred pounds required a two man delivery which went well. The box was undamaged. The top was dented. Return required re-boxing, but within a week a two man crew was sent to pick up the table and a few days after that my full payment was returned to my account. The company did offer to replace the damaged parts but I had determined the table was not quite up to the treatment I had planned for it and have produced a wooden table to replace it. My table does not compare to the quality of the JOOLA NOVA but if someone jumps on it or drops something heavy on it it will not be a big loss.

This ping pong table is very heavy, so you will need two people to move the box as shipped. (Almost 200 lbs.) I placed blankets on my garage floor and laid the ping pong tables face down to protect the surfaces. The table was easy to assemble and I found the instructions easy to follow. Once completed, the table was easy to roll to its new home in our back yard. Looking forward to many years of enjoyment!

the Joola NOVA seems to be an excellent table - easy to set up, move, adjust, nice net, easy to level, and the surface which is metal [aluminum] is well painted and seems great for game play. So for all that, i give this table high marks [4 stars maybe 4.5]. However, the table was damaged in shipping even though they seemed to take a lot of care - when we received it it was in nearly a perfectly handled box- except for a small indention in the middle, which my wife insisted we take a picture of [i thought - like who cares it will be fine....] ...... So after putting it together in the middle of Christmas Eve night i look back to admire my work and to my horror there is a dent in the table surface that corresponded to the dent in the cardboard box!!!!! OH S#@T! what to do - go with it and its all good... so it was ok as my daughter is good at letting things slide and she was able to recognize the overall quality of the table over the dent in the surface. SO after holiday travel i call Amazon to see how we are going to deal with this - which for me is a point of stress as i will never get it back in the box and i don't have the time to deal with this BS! Amazon was reasonable and offered me a 25% refund... which i have tentatively accepted as i mull over it... ie i dont want to wast time but a dent in a ping pong table? yea like its not a tile missing from the space shuttle but it still sucks. So why, oh why, have i been put in this situation? Well it is surely the fault of the shipping company to some degree but it is also and as much so the fault of JOOLA who totally failed to engineer a decent packing system - the way the table was packed makes it 100% [ok 98%] certain that if anything hits the surface of the box it will damage the table - remarkable - these people make and sell ping pong table but have NO CLUE on how to build a shipping box??? So... So.... i really don't have the time to waste to deal with a return and it is playable though there is always that dent to add chaos to the game- its hard to stomach as it is so new but it is equally hard to accept the hell of trying to return it and put another table together, which who knows may also get damaged in shipping! so i feel a bit stuck with it and well at least i got a few bucks back..... Given this experience - even with the 25% back i do not think i can recommend to anyone to risk ordering a JOOLA TABLE [unless you have time to spend on this type of thing... and if u do please get a new hobby!].
