The first one has held up pretty well despite being by the back door and subjected to whatever the dog tracks in as well as it being her favorite napping spot. The Roomba has even tried to eat it a few times but has been unsuccessful. I decided it was time to change up that area a bit and was pleased the company is still in business. They are very pretty. They are thin which is what I wanted and don’t slide around too much. They are machine washable and I’ve had them a little over a year and they’ve held up well. The best proof of this is that, recently, I spilled a lot of Clorox cleanup on the floor and these rugs. I tried to get it up as fast as possible but I was worried. The Clorox cleanup bleached out all the towels I used to mop up with but even though the cleaner stayed on these carpets for at least 5-10 minutes, it didn’t affect the color at all. As soon as I could, I rinsed them with water and them threw them in the wash and they came out looking like new! I highly recommend for busy, messy kitchens. It's so nice to get a rug that actually comes rolled up instead of folded and full of permanent creases. Rolled this out on floor and immediately layed completely flat. Got a smaller one for bathroom and same thing. And they look great. Also actually has rubber backing and doesn't budge on my floor. Bought several rugs and returned because they had little rubber dots that did nothing to keep it from sliding around. One happy camper....... ... show more

True to the online image - pattern & colors. The no-slip pad really is no-slip! Very attractive, quality-look product. I plan to buy more Maples rugs in this pattern & others, for more rooms & coordinating sizes for the kitchen where this floral pattern with gray background is. Our Corgi immediately claimed it to lay on, because she likes how it feels i guess. She did not lay on the last rug that this one replaces. As for stain resistance im not anxious to test it any sooner than inevitable, but based on experience it looks & feels stain resistant & easy to spot clean. ... show more

I'm a fan of Maples Rugs. US company, great colors and designs. I love that they are rubber backed. I dont need or want thick plush heavy carpeting everywhere. I actually prefer a thin rug, but that comes at the cost of needing a separate backer to keep them in place. I had stumbled upon a Maples Rug several years ago that was large enough to use as an area rug and had good rubber backing. I loved it, and I still have it, but recently I retired it as my mood for something else came up (now I use it outside). I didnt replace it with another Maples, if only because I didnt see the color/pattern I wanted. But I imagine at some point I will. Then there are other areas of the house where I have smaller Maples Rugs- in front of doors, etc. I have probably 6 rugs of assorted sizes from this brand. I just like it, a lot. Yes, they are thin, light, but that rubber backing is where it is at for me. If you need thick, plush, then seek elsewhere. I totally understand. These may not be for everyone because of the lightweight factor. On the plus side, no matter the size, they fold up or roll up easily for storage. When I decided to get a new little rug for my step dad, I immediately set out to look at Maples Rugs. He had a rubber backed rug that was falling apart and no longer had any grip on his ceramic floor. I bought this as a Christmas gift and he began using it immediately. I can toe it a little and it moves, so not sure if it is a matter of the rubber not being as grippy as my others, or it is simply the flooring that it is on. He has it in a cold spot of the house on a slick ceramic floor. Basically in a breezeway between kitchen and heading out to the garage. But it does slide around, and is way better than what he had. One note on vacuuming. I find that using the non beater bar option (like a floor option) is better than the carpet option. These are short knap, and the beater bar could eventually pull up on the fibers. Best to shake out the rugs and then vacuum floor, or just gently go over the rug itself.
