My motorcycle tire changer was expensive and does a good job except for the included duck. I ordered this hoping it would fit my tool; it does. This baby is solid metal. It’s a beautiful piece. The original was some kind of really hard plastic. That was ok until I ran into a tire that had been on the rim for about ten years. That hard plastic bent. This duck will not bend. It has hard protective plastic pieces in the two critical locations. I’m very satisfied.

Note that I am reviewing the duck head only, as that is what I originally purchased but it now seems to be linked to an entire tire machine. The duck head is a good replacement for my original, and the plastic inserts are easy to find replacements on Amazon. Overall the duck head is very durable and works as expected.

I recently moved across the country and no longer have the luxury of my dad to get my tires off my car. This tool works very well to do exactly that! I have always been worried that I wouldn’t be able to get my tires off if need be, even though I might know how to fix a problem, if I can’t get the tire off it’s a mute point. This is a great tool that really does make it easy! I’m considering getting one for everyone in my life at this point! The quality is great, it is very heavy but that’s exactly what you want from something like this. I love the duck!

Many duck heads look to be identical, but the *slightest* variations can make a tremendous difference when wrestling with low profile motorcycle tires. I don't have this down to a science, but I know that when I get a good one it makes my life a lot easier. So I experiment with different ones. When this arrived I studied the surfaces closely and I was not optimistic, as the curves were not smooth and continuous, there were flat spots here and there. Lo and behold, it works better than the one I was currently using. I suspect I got lucky. :-)

A couple of years ago, I got a flat tire on the interstate--at rush hour no less. There's few things more dangerous than being on the shoulder of the road trying to get the tire off and get the spare on. To compound my struggles, I discovered that the tire guy had overtightened the lug nuts and it took forever to get them off. I could have really used this device. The 'duck head' provides much better leverage than the tire iron that comes with the car. It's also much better made with heavy duty steel. The worst part of using the tire iron is the wear on your hands and the difficulty of getting a good grip. That's not an issue with this little gadget. Plus it looks like a duck! What's not to like? Highly recommended!
