The media could not be loaded. My puppy was chewing everything and this satisfied her urge to chew. As a bonus she also loves playing fetch with it. The rope is about 8 inches long overall, but only about 3 inches from the insides of one knot to the inside of the other knot. This is great for a puppy or small dog. My puppy loves to chew on this rope, especially at the knots. When we first got this rope we could play tug of war with it, but as she has grown, we eventually needed a longer rope for safety playing tug of war so my hands don’t get too close to her mouth. We have had this one for about 3 months and it is holding up really well. It has survived the washing machine nicely. My puppy is a chihuahua mix and is currently 7 months old and about 10 pounds. She is probably an average chewer. Definitely not a dog that destroys a toy in a day. ... show more

Like the natural cotton w/o dyes, both for my dog and for dye-free slobber on the carpet. Good room between knots at each end and knot in the center. However, for my minature Schnauzer, (14 lbs) the circumference of the rope is a little too big, especially because this kind of rope (also used for leads for horses) is especially tight, hard to squash enough to get a good tooth-hold for a smaller dog. However, it it was any shorter, then there'd be no room to grab onto it. It may last longer being so thick but partly b/c it's not going to be used that much. I wish the 20", which is from the end of the frayed fringe to the other end of the fringe, was made with a less thick rope. Ultimately, next time I want one of these I'll go to the city's big feed store to purchase my own length of rope. I raised horses for a couple decades; don't know why I didn't think to do that. I'll be able to select the diameter of the rope as well as the length- cheaper, too. ... show more

Been subscribed & saving on 3 knot version for years. My dogs gnaw through the center knot and they quickly unravel. This 2 knot version seems to last much longer.

    • Exercise Caution - not so great for ALL dogs...
Size: XL (36 in) Style: 3 Knot Rope Tug
I really wanted to like the Flossy Chews 100-Percent Cotton White 3-Knot Rope Tug for my parents 18-month-old Standard Poodle, especially considering his aggressive chewing habits. The concept of a durable yet, interactive tug toy seemed great, and I appreciated that it was made from natural soft cotton. However, my experience has been a bit of a mixed bag. Initially, the rope tug appeared to be well-made and sturdy and a good size (XL) and my dog was excited to play with it. Unfortunately, the fringes at the ends of the rope became a major issue. Shortly after Odin's first play session, I noticed that he had aggressively chewed on those fringes, which he ended up swallowing. This resulted in some not-so-pleasant bowel movements, with bits of knotted rope making an unwelcome appearance. In an effort to salvage the toy and for safety, I decided to cut off all the fringes from both sides (not easy to do). However, even after this modification, Odin managed to chew off more pieces of the rope. At this point, for the safety of Odin and my own peace of mind, I ultimately decided to discard the rope. While I wouldn’t completely dismiss the Flossy Chews tug toy for all dogs, I would strongly recommend exercising caution, particularly for aggressive chewers. Obviously each dog is different, and some may fare better with this toy than others. If you decide to try it, be sure to inspect the rope after each play session to ensure it remains safe for your dog. ... show more
