I hesitated to purchase this due to the price, but finally went ahead and purchased for a snowy NFL football game. As a backup, I ordered a cheaper version of the Mambe and there is literally no comparison! We ended up easing the cheaper one to put on our seats. The mambe kept me warm, was plenty big enough, and I couldn’t believe the fantastic construction of the blanket. So glad I went ahead and ordered the Mambe, it was worth every penny!

Purchased with plan to use hammock camping. I've now used it twice for that purpose and love it. It was very easy to keep it wrapped around me in the hammock and easy to keep it open enough to keep me from sweating during the night--it doesn't breathe at all. I'm bald and found the hood to be a very big plus during a cold night and it helps keep the blanket appropriately positioned. I'm 5'9" and the length is perfect. Prior reviews commented that the stuff bag was too small. This has been addressed as there is ample room to pack it easily in the included stuff bag. Yes it makes some noise but not enough to bother me. Trying to quantify the noise I would say it is about 1/3 as noisy as a blue plastic tarp. It is amazingly warm and very well made. It is a soccer parent version of a Jerven Bag and the closest thing I've seen to one made in the states. I think Mambe could make a version more directed to camping and extend their market. Craftmanship: 5 stars. Sideline use: 5 stars Cost: worth it to me for the quality.

This coat is great! I purchased it as an added layer for watching my 3 children’s lacrosse and soccer games in the Northeast. Today I had a soccer game of my own. It was 40 degrees and raining and the Mambe coat was perfect. It kept me warm when I was on the sideline and dry. It can be snapped in the front to keep your hands free but also has hand “pockets” so you can wrap the jacket around you. I don’t write many reviews but I think this one is worth it. I hung it up to dry and it was ready to go a few hours later.

I bought this on Friday. I received it on Sunday. I think it was Tuesday the price dropped... And I'm not even mad! It's worth the asking price. Remarkably light weight, very warm but not stifling, even in the house. After I washed it in cold water and tumble dried it with no heat, I was a bit worried that it still felt so wet. I hung it up by the hood on the coat rack, a few hours later it was completely dry and SO soft and pliable! It is now an entirely different (MUCH better!) blanket - and I was happy with it in the first place! Fantastic quality. I very much recommend Mambe!

I am 6'1" this goes to my shins. Bought specifically for hammock camping, works great as an inside underquilt or on top as extra element cover. The hood allows it to be used on top as a face cover or flipped as a foot cover. Very warm, the fleece is top notch and the outside is completely waterproof. Add a 100% wool blanket (the bag this comes in is also waterproof and has plenty of room for a blanket) and wool socks for this to be comfortable enough for between 30-40 degrees. Weight wise, by itself it is almost unnoticeable attached to a pack. Guys get one for your wife too or you'll lose this at every outdoor event.
