I got this because certain job sites I work on now require these safety helmets. They fit my head perfectly. It’s a lot more comfortable than I expected as I’m used to a MSA Skullgard cap. It definitely has some weight, but you don’t notice it. The flip down visor is easy to engage. The chin straps are easy to put on and off yet stays clipped all day.

There are times when Husband needs a hard hat, and this one is really nice. It has a styrofoam liner in addition to the hard shell, and provides side protection as well as protection to the top of the head. Husband says it fits well and is comfortable but doesn't feel heavy.

This is a well constructed safety helmet with a good design. Starting with the interior, the webbing is solid, well sewn, and keeps your head from touching the helmet. Before field work, I gave it a few good smacks and my skull never touched the interior shell. The chin strap is a softer nylon, so no uncomfortable rubbing or pulling on my beard hairs. Once you adjust the chin strap, a few quick turns on the rear cradle, locks the helmet to your head. This type of helmet would be great for static work with little movement, or aerial arborist work. I tested suspended in a tree and there was very little side to side movement. With other helmets, I find myself constantly adjusting for comfort, but so far, this Malta Dynamics design has worked great. Overall, I am very happy with the fit and function.

The media could not be loaded. I wanted a helmet to wear while helping a friend clear his land. I have my old oilfield hard hats, but this is WAY better than the traditional-style heard hats. The integrated safety eyeshield is great down here in Texas because my eyes are protected but the shield won't end up covered in sweat. The ventilation offered by this helmet is great. It offers side protection, not just protecting from blows coming from above, which is important when tree branches are swinging around. The white color reduces it heating up from sunlight. It took a little playing around to get all the straps properly adjusted, but that's an issue with any helmet. I love this helmet and am ready to drop more trees!

Unlike some helmets I have tried on, this is relatively comfortable. Directions were not very clear on how to make the depth adjustment. The face shield is nice as it is clear and doesn't smack your face.
