Pair it with your choice of GOP punch and die assembly to punch clean, accurate drop holes anywhere along the length of standard 5-inch or 6-inch K-style aluminum gutter up to .032-inch thickness, in either "A" or "B" direction, faster than any cutting method. Designed for speed and accuracy on the job. The GOT frame's ample throat clearance and open sides let you position the punch directly over the front lip of the gutter without tilting, bending, or working around obstructions. The easy ratcheting mechanism and angled punch blades provide progressive, smooth cutting action with minimal operator effort. The built-in ejector removes the metal slug automatically on rectangular cuts so you can move down the run without stopping to clear the tool after every punch. Built for the shop and the job site. Fastener holes in the base allow permanent bench mounting for high-volume gutter fabrication shops — bolt it down, feed gutter through, punch, repeat. For field installers, the lightweight aluminum and steel frame carries easily between jobs without adding significant weight to the truck. Must have for any gutter installation. This tool makes forming downspout outlets a simple process, even with the gutter installed on the house. A bit pricey, but it is awesome. Changing tooling is easy. I would like it even more if the anvil had a no-mar surface as it is just painted or anodized aluminum and it will scratch the bottom of the gutter if you are not careful. I covered mine with blue tape and that helped a lot. This tool did not have any trouble with some galvanized steel guttering that we ran across, but I would be worried about taking the edge off of the cutter if you had to deal with that a lot. Works excellent, a necessary tool for someone who hangs many gutters. Saves me about 1 to 3 hours a week in time spent cutting downspout openings. Perfectly cut holes every time, stays sharp. We've cut about 80 holes with it and it is almost as sharp as the first day. Make sure you buy the die for the size holes you're cutting, its sold separately but worth every dollar. ... show more

This is a great investment if you are in the gutters and downspouts business. I bought the punch and the GOP34XUK die, the cross cut 3x4, along with it. Makes a nice clean cut, and the operation could really almost be done totally one handed. Something I don’t really think is very well advertised, or if it is I missed it, is the fact that because of the orientation of the throat you can easily rotate the die for making A or B cuts. However you will not be making a B cut with the 3x4 die on a 5” gutter because you would end up cutting open the face of the gutter instead of the bottom. It’s a much better cut than the previous punch I was using, and makes a nice tight seal around the elbow. After punching 7 downspouts yesterday I’m definitely interested in purchasing more dies to keep my options open. Also yes you can use this punch on a gutter that is already installed. That’s my preferred method for punching holes. ... show more
