  • The Only Gutter Guards I'll Bother Installing
I remember the time when you could get these gutter guards in stock in local stores like Home Depot and Lowes. You could buy as many or few as you wanted to. These gutter guards have gotten a bad rap and for a good reason. It's simply not prudent, in my opinion to slide a gutter guard under shingles. I've had to deal with these guards falling off the gutters via the traditional installation method. Here comes the good part. These gutter guards are so flexible that you can perfectly install them without them touching the roof or the shingles. I installed mine by seating them inside the gutters. I started by bending and sliding down the gutter guard section on the roof side. Once that side was in place. I implimented the same technique on the opposite side of the gutter guard. Two years later. Those gutter guards are in the same spot where I installed them! The only gutter guard that fell out of place was due to a heavy limb falling on it that bent one of my gutters on the end. I have had a small degree of leaf accumulation at the top of the gutter covers which is eventually blown away by the wind. But my gutters are debris free and stay in place. Even if I had to buy a 75 pack of these gutter guards for $250. For me that's a lot less expensive than hiring someone else to do the job. All I needed was a gutter scoop, 100 foot hose with a spray nozzle, a ladder, metal scissors to cut and shorten these Amerimax gutter guards where necessary. Works out good for me and looks good too. ... show more
