  • Handy impact for typical automotive fasteners
I really like this compact Makita impact wrench. It's light, small, black (doesn't show the dirt), and powerful enough. Only a few bolts on a car require more torque than this impact can deliver. The vendor, Neandertool shipped fast at a very competitive price. What's not to like?

  • Works great!
Had to tear down my backhoe for major repairs. Many bolts holding on sheet metal, fenders, etc. Would have taken a long time to remove them by hand. This made very short work of it!

  • mine was not brand new it was used.
A little disappointed because it's pretty obvious it's a used tool. some of the lettering here and there is missing due to wear. the tool was dirty. However it does work fantastic and has way more power than I personally thought it would. but keep in mind ive never had battery powered impact tools up until this point so take that how you like. I will update at some point. Update: I love this tool, it will untorque 140 ftlbs lugs nuts with a little bit of effort, probably would do even better with actual impact sockets. Will drive lag bolts with ease. I like how I feel like the power isnt super insane and it gives me a sense of control. Im not afraid to put this on spark plugs, it has the ability to be very gentle. Definitely fills my quota. I have a bigger makita impact for the really stuck stuff, this tool is more about the finnesse, don't expect earth rotating torque. ... show more

  • Good tool
I’ve only used it once, and that was to remove lug nuts from the rear tires of a riding lawnmower. This was not an extremely hard job, and the tool handled it with ease. I am something of a Makita junkie, and as expected, this tool did not disappoint. I recommend it and would buy it again.

  • Works great and very powerful.
I use this tool to do small mechanic projects that I have. This tool has lots of torque and was at a very good price. I would put this tool against any top dollar tool.

  • You can find them cheaper
There’s nothing wrong with this tool you can find a better price there’s no difference between the black and the green. I’m not gonna return it but could’ve got it for a better price.

  • A good little 3/8 impact driver
I’ve resisted electric tools for my shade tree mechanic efforts for a long time. Maybe in part because my Makita impact driver is one of the old white cased ones. And even the blue cases seem to be an invitation to show off dirty hand prints. But this one being the all black case looked like the right way to go. At times, the 130 FtLb rating seems maybe optimistic, but it covers a wide range of work. I will say that I’m glad I still have the original 2010 or so 1.5 AH batteries from the white tools, as in some odd reaches, the lighter weight is a plus. I’ll probably have to get some of the newer 2AH, half sized packs at some point. But one takeaway is that this is light enough to notice the weight difference between using one of the 5 cell batteries and the more common 10 cell batteries. I wish I had taken this step sooner. ... show more
