It’s a lot different from my old one so a little difficult to get used to. Nothing crazy just the on off location and variable speed controls. I wish the speed was trigger controlled but I do love the dust extraction. Makita is very smart, the tube for dust collection is easily changed from one side to the other. Has a work light, and on board tool to change the pivot for the base plate. I wish this feature would have been just a quick release lever. So all in all happy however there is room for improvement. I’m a bit of a tool snob.so Makita if you’re reading this contact me and higher me as a consultant. You do an excellent job but as a carpenter/builder for 30 years I got some ideas we could make some money with. ... show more

This is a fantastic jigsaw. First time having the barrel grip and it’s great. The on/off switch takes some getting used to but high quality product. Just bought a second one for my install truck.

    • Did not include pictured dust collector
The saw is OK, but I chose this one because it showed a dust collector. This dust collector was not included in the box. I have made note of the supplier and will be ordering from a different supplier in the future.
