I have a drill that uses the BL1815 (prior to the STAR protection) and this battery fits that tool. This package is also a great deal compared to a box store. I often compare Amazon’s prices while I’m in the box store and if Amazon’s prices are better I just immediately order it from Amazon.

I got this to power a leaf blower. I only get 10-15 minutes or so off a charge. If you have serious blowing to do around the house or yard get two or three or just go corded electric. However I got this to keep my deck clean and to clear snow. So far works like a charm. No shoveling. If I buy another battery I might chance it on a knock off. I wanted an original Makita to see what the main is like. I went with this because I heard good things about the brand. So first foray into the Makita system. I’ve heard Milwaukee and DeWalt is what many contractors use. But I’m no where near a professional home owner. ... show more
