The Guide Rail Adapter allows the use of XSH03M/Z with Makita 55’ and 118” Guide Rails. When used together, the XSH03M/Z, Guide Rail Adapter, and Guide Rail offer a more portable solution over a table saw for cutting large wood panels and other wood materials.

Makes my inexpensive saw a track saw

My dad has a festool track saw and I have been borrowing it a lot. I don't have room or inclination to buy a table saw, and I do a lot with sheet goods and have other applications that call for perfect straight cuts. I don't need any of the tracksaw specific pieces that come on the expensive saws. This turns my $150 light and easy circular saw into a track saw that so far has made all of the cuts I've asked it to make. It is best on the Makita tracks, as there is a little tab that attaches into the rail and prevents it from rolling off, but it also functions on the festool tracks (which I tried). Adjustment is easy. Instructions could be a little more clear, but it really wasn't all that bad. If you're wanting to use this kind of saw you probably also have the aptitude to figure out the instructions. I think it could be priced a little lower for what it is, though.

An affordable way to use what you've got rather than buying a new tool

The adapter instructions weren't too clear. However, with the diagram and a little fiddling, I was able to get the track plate attached without too much hassle. I paired this with the Wen 110" (55" x 2) tracks and it works pretty well. It isn't the smoothest slide but is manageable by keeping a hand on the adapter and a hand on the saw. If you already have the circular saw, it is an affordable step up into a track-saw-like setup.

Great alternative to the track saw

This adapter works well and is a great alternative if you would rather not buy the track saw, but have the saw this adapter works for, and better versatility with tools this way.
