  • My life is easier
I have a Sears 10" table saw and it was mounted on the Sears supplied table. From the day I used it I hated the Sears supplied stand. When stationary it was great. But the wheels were too small to work properly (I really just dragged the table around - the wheels were useless) and it took up lots of space in the garage. The Makita stand solved all my problems. It's a solid stand, the wheels are great and it takes up less space in the garage. It takes a bit of heft to get the saw from its down position to the up position but I'm 72 and can manage without great difficulty. The existing holes to mount the saw to the stand didn't work for the saw I had. I had to drill holes through both the stand and the saw. Took no more than 30 minutes from start of the job to having it all up and working. I'm please with everything about this stand. Perhaps I should have given it a five star rating but the need to drill the holes and the bit of heft to get the saw to the full up position were the reason for the one star drop. ... show more

  • Good Portable Table Saw Stand
Arrived well packaged and on Prime time in the Makita box. However, assembly was a pain. The four holes for the bolts that attach the handle to the body, we're not drillers horizontally to the existing holes on the frame that have captive nuts welded on the opposite end. Had to drill and widen the holes on the inner side of each handle to allow the bolt to slide straight through the handle. Aside from this inconvenience, it appears to be well made. Update: After using this stand for a week, I'm going to lower my rating to 3 Sstars. The stand does not operate as smoo as it should in the it is a bit tricky to lift it open after depressing the release lever. Also, it does not stay tin the closed position when the saw is lifted on its end. ... show more

  • good saw stand
A little heavy - but heavy duty also. The box barely made it - parts fell out between delivery truck and garage but they were all there. Saw bolted right up w/ fasteners supplied - nuts are captive so there is less to loose. Raises an lowers easy w/ gas springs. Variable ht.

  • Well Designed
I am very pleased with the Makita table saw stand with one exception. To enhance the stand's stability when ripping large, heavy sheets of material, it would be beneficial to be able to lock the wheels to prevent any movement.

  • Works great..
Works great ... 4 screws and 4 bolts and it was up and running. Great center of gravity with the Makita 2705 table saw (my Bosch miter stand is tail heavy ... you have to be real careful going down inclines). You move and maneuver it with very little effort.

  • Doesnt fit saw as advertised
one of the mounting bolts for the handle was defective. I called Makita and I had to send all kinds of documentation to prove I bought it. No response from the email, no replacement bolt. real hassle and unnecessary. Also table saw stand is advertised as will accept all models of Makita table saws which is not true I had to drill my own holes. Bad purchase. John ... show more
