I like the batteries from Makita but for the price I must ask why Makita does not have their batteries made the same color as their tools when other companies do. I also have Makita compatible batteries that are just as reliable and with the housing the same color as the Makita tools. This is a help to me having Dewalt, Makita, Milwaukee, and Roybi tools - I really like the color coding. Still, the Makita batteries are high quality and never a mistake. I enjoy using my cordless 18 volt Makita tools. I have several 10+ year old Makita 18 Volt batteries that still work...unlike a certain "RED" brand who's battery life was at tops 1 year.
