I purchased a bunch of these (different titles) for a plane trip to keep my 3.5 and 1.5 year old girls busy (just got home yesterday, actually). They LOVED these. No, they don't really have a great "sticking area" to actually stick the stickers to - they limit this to the inside of the front and back covers. However kids love stickers regardless of the packaging or functionality and they like to stick them on themselves too - so this was of no consequence. They kept the girls busy for hours. My 3.5 year old loved them so much that she wanted to know if she could have a new sticker book today (I still have a few left over). Totally worth the money. Oh, and if you're having a themed party, getting one that patches your theme would be great for goody bags! I will buy this again and again...

Nice way to allow a child to be creative. The book offers a template of a butterfly and the child decorates it with the stickers. I purchased it for a slightly old child (6 years old). She was still younger enough to enjoy it and old enough to pay with it on her own. It is a pretty small short book (4 pages), which given the price is expected. Definitely, not an all-day activity but prefect for a car ride. It does advertise that it is a "little" activity book and states that its is 4 pages in the product describe so don't be surprised but the size. These Dover little activity books are prefect car activities and I will certainly buy more in the future.

Kind of was disappointed in this product. Maybe I didn't read the description very well but it's not a full size book like coloring book size its miniature and the butterfly is like the inside cover of the book. You take the pages out then decorate

This is a fantastic value. I bought two for our twins who are almost 5. They fit in my smallish purse, and saved my bacon at two different restaurants recently. The girls were completely occupied working on them. I love that the stickers are reusable. We just pulled off the non-sticker part so they didn't have to puzzle them back in perfectly. Also, I wish that I had labelled the backs of each sticker page with each girls name before I pulled them out of the center of the book. The second time we used them the loose sticker sheets had gotten mixed up and we had to sort out whose was whose.

So I totally should have read the reviews prior to purchasing which I usually do - but of course, the one time you don’t right? Anyway - the book is TINY. About the width of your hand & there are hardly any pages in it which is very disappointing as I purchased it as an activity book for my daughter while traveling but this isn’t going to do anything. Could make a cute stocking stuffer or goodie bag item but definitely didn’t meet the need for my intended purchase and NOT worth 1.99.

I ordered the Make Your Own Butterfly sticker activity book from Dover along with the kitchen, train and a few other sticker books. My daughter (3ys old)did not like this one. It has a picture of a butterfly inside & many many stickers of dots stripes or other highlights to place on the butterfly wings. My daughter put the antennas on & we tried to get her to do some of the other stickers, but she wasn't interested. Since she hadn't used many of the stickers I saved the book & offered it to several of her friends for playtime, none of her friends got into it either. However the other sticker books that were more scene oriented were a big hit. The kitchen book was by far the best, followed by the train station. My daughter played with the kitchen book for two hours on a long car ride & was totally engrossed. We gave the train station book to a friend & his Mom said it was a life saver during a particularly long wait at the doctor's office. These books are tiny, about 3" x 5", but it makes them perfect for taking in your purse to have on-hand for any unexpected waits.
