This is such a fun kit. I use it in conjunction with a Lavender Violets UV lamp and a Gelish foundation and top coat. I have never been great at doing my own nails. With this set, it took three tries to get them really nice! Better than I have ever done with “regular” polish. My first attempt, I used too much glue and it seeped to my cuticles and caused it to lift and peel (looked nice other than that though). My second time, I used less glue but I still think I used too much of either my foundation or top coat, so again, it went out over my cuticles and caused lift (this is the picture of the pink nails here). Still didn’t look too bad, though! My third try I was very conservative with every layer. I also used a slightly nude gelish polish under the foils on this one. So far, so good! No lift, it hasn’t budged and I’ve been taking showers daily, so they are going through being wet in hot temperatures. My current application has been on for about 4 days, so I can’t speak to these being super long lasting yet. I will say this- this kit is so much fun to play with, I already want to remove my current polish and try something else just out of boredom and to see what other combos I can create. This is a great deal and believe that the foil ribbons will last for more manicures than I will probably give myself.

I had been looking for nail foils for a while but none of the nail supply stores around me carried it so I went to the trusty place of amazon. I found this product and thought it was a great deal for everything that it came with. I ordered it and finally got it today. Everything came packaged nice and neat but the size threw me off. The package seemed very small but I was thinking well it is just foil so maybe it is just wrapped tight. I randomaly took a roll of foil out and unrolled it. I could not believe how small of an amount there was! I thought well maybe I didn't read the description correctly so let me go back on there and read it. The description states "about 4cm/1.57in X 100cm/39.37in per roll." I get that some rolls may be off about an inch or so when cut and I am not the type of person to be strict on those types of things but when I measured the roll of foil that I randomly selected and it was only about 24 inches long. Someone from customer service reached out to me concerning the problem and took care of it very professionally! A huge thank you to the company and customer service department! I did use it and the results came out great! Definitely recommend this product and will consider buying more stuff from this company!

This product was really fun to do with my daughter on her nails and on mine. I did hers right on the gel base. It was much harder the. Mine it i did mine on top of dipped nails. Her nails looked messy and a few days old by havving the corners rough. I decided for.mine i would cut out the flowers and would do a flower garden on mine. It turned out lovely although some what a but blurry and unkept in some images. I recommend to use a tool such as maybe a rubber cuticle pusher to assist in pressing down the foil. Their was no instruction for an an amateur that would be helpful. Also please let the buyer know they need to.purchase a base gel and top coat gel and have a uv light. I do but i just wasnt sure if a new be would know. So three out of 5 stars great for a fun time i recomment improved to application proccess and instruction i will return because i love the color. !

I’m obsessed with these nail foils. They are SO EASY to apply, and look AMAZING. I love getting a professional look (really, better than) at home. For my first look, I alternated red and green for Christmas. I did a base gel coat if the same color. This is important because towards the end of two weeks, a small bit of the foil had worn off in a few nails. But because I also had a base color, only I could tell. I received countless compliments every day. They were as easy to remove as gel polish is. The foil is so thin, it makes no difference in the removal process. I brought the foils and my gel polish and lamp with me to our family Christmas party, and did my mom’s and sister’s nails. My mom picked the gold, and sis picked pink. They turned out SO GOOD. Everyone was impressed :) Now I’m getting ready to do my New Year’s Eve nails, with a navy blue gel base, and the silver holographic foils. If you do your own gel polish nails at home, do not hesitate to add this to your collection. You’ll be as obsessed as I’ve become. They’re flawless!

The glue adheres OK to the gel polish, and the film (and other embellishments) adheres well to the glue, but the gel topcoat doea NOT adhere well to the film or other embellishments, so it peels after a couple days. I found a couple solutions that help a lot (my latest confetti mani has now held for two weeks): 1) when you apply the glue to the gel, don’t apply the glue all the way to the edges. Leave a small no-glue border all the way around the nail so that when you add a gel topcoat later it binds to the gel (not the glue) around the edges. This works especially well for applying glitter, confetti, gold leaf, gems/rhinestones, etc, if you don’t need them to go all the way to the edges. 2) Once you’ve applied the film/confetti/etc, it helps to apply another layer of glue on top (again, leaving a tiny border free of glue around the nail), then cure and apply the gel topcoat(s). The gel topcoat bonds to the glue well, but doesn’t bond to the embellishments, so an extra layer of glue prevents peeling and two layers of topcoat seal the embellishments in smoothly.
