I've always been self-conscious of my feet due to my addiction to flip-flops on top of having hypothyroidism, which causes dry feet. Add the two together and my feet become extra dry, super quickly and pedicures become expensive. I've tried hundreds of products and have had pretty good luck with the Mr. Pumice products but nothing beats the results that I got from this product! It works well and left my feet feeling more rejuvinated after just one use, leaving me feeling more comfortable with the appearance of my feet. MY GO-TO AT HOME PEDICURE WITH THIS PRODUCT THAT GAVE ME THE BEST RESULTS: *I used this in the shower and found wet, HOT feet got the best results. I use EOS shave cream on my heels and wrap my feet in a hot, soaked washcloth and wait a few minutes for the steam to soften the heels up. I have found that EOS has helped to keep my heels softer when scraping. After a few minutes, I take one foot out of the washcloth and start scraping away. KNOW YOUR BODY. It's a living organism so the harder you scrape and the more friction you cause it will do damage. I have found that if you get the top layers off on the first round and let the skin heal a day or two and go back for a 2nd round, it has the best results with no pain or blistering. UPKEEP: *Moisturizing afterwards and continuing to do so will give the longest results with less upkeep. The best heel product I have used is Glytone, but it does burn badly if you have a cut and make sure to wash your hands immediately afterwards and not to touch your face until hands are clean. Otherwise it has the best results for super dry, cracked heels. I am also a huge fan of the Ceravae moisturizing cream, the one in the white tub. It has lasted me months and keeps my whole body feeling good, but most of all I think it has worked best as an OTC foot cream. As of right now, I will continue my routine with this product as it has given me basically the same results as a salon pedicure for a much cheaper, more convienent price. A+

If you want to know what it feels like to walk on clouds, then try this foot file! I literally just finished using this product for the first time a few minutes ago and ran to come give my review. It does a thorough job. Recently, I have been doing a lot of yard work which did a number on my feet...especially because I'm in grad school and work full time, giving very little time for loving on my feet. My feet initially looked like I walked on hot coals, but now, my feet are literally as soft and smooth as a baby's foot. The other brand foot file I had only scratched the surface in comparison to this item. I use to do a pre-pedicure treatment before I went to the nail salon so I wouldn't be embarrassed..unfortunately, my feet would still rain little snowflake-like dry skin at the nail salon. With this product, I completely removes the dead skin. I only will go to the nail salon for a pedicure for general maintenance and for a polish now...thanks to finding this amazing product.

Oh my goodness!! This tool is AMAZING! I just used it for the 1st time on dry heels. The 2 photos show before (right foot) and after (left foot). I literally used it for about 1 minute, and got excellent results. I haven’t even applied lotion yet, and look how smooth my heel is! I’ve really struggled to keep my heels in good shape, since Covid has kept me away from the pedicure salon. Bare feet and sandals this summer have only worsened the situation, which was beyond the help of lotion or foot peels. I bought, and used, both the course and fine foot files and unboxed them today. They are stainless steel, sturdy and sharp, so I didn’t have to apply that much pressure. I’ve never written a review so quickly! If you have heels like mine, go order these now! You won’t be sorry. Neither will your heels.

I am so glad I purchased this rasp/foot file. I had tried other things, pumice and other files - even fine sand paper when I was desperate to get my heels in shape. Other things seem to make the problem worse. After reading some reviews I got this file and it has made a big improvement for me on my feet. It appears sort of like a cheese grater, but I was very surprised at how effective it is. It can be used dry or wet and at first I was very careful with it but it seems like a good design and easy to use and it's sturdy and easy to grip. After I used it once or twice, my heels improved dramatically and I don't have to use it all the time now that it's winter. I am going to get these for my female friends and family members because it would be good to have even in-between pedicures. I also bought O'keefe's Healthy Feet cream and like that product also. It seems like a simple cream but it surprisingly worked to help heal up dry spots on my heels.

A very good product, with a minor problem that interrupts how good it is. The good, it very selectively takes off hardened skin, and more or less leaves alone soft/live skin. The result is a very smoothed surface of the calloused area. The bad -- the replaceable blade keeps popping out of the frame if any useful pressure is put on it, necessitating holding the frame tight while using it vigorously. Other than that, it is a very useful product and does things you can't do otherwise.

I bought this device wondering if it would shred my skin to bits. Happy to say.. Nope. I have used pumice stones, and variations thereof for years. I have never found a device that really gets all the dead skin off, providing smooth and soft feet. I love to go around barefoot. A horrible habit, I will even garden barefoot. The first chance I get shoes and socks come off. So, I am pretty rough on my feet. I ordered this product as it looked like it had good potential, and the price was very reasonable. It arrived well packaged in a timely manner. I took it out and gave it the side eye. Honestly, it looks like a cheese grater and I figured this thing would either shred my poor feet, or be so dull as to have no effect. The writing on the package warns to not use it sideways as to risk injury. I am still unsure what they refer to as I have used it in an up and down motion, as well as side to side without issue. The grip is solid and well formed so it is easy to hang on to in the shower. Oh yeah, I use this in the shower, water running, but due to it being metal, take it out once done. So, trying to remain positive, I gave it a try. Gently and hesitantly at first as I did not want blood to start gushing. I need not have worried. This thing works like a dream. For the first time in my 48 years I have found a product that removes the dead skin and provides a lovely soft foot as a result. One caveat. I have become very used to this device and will swipe away full force as I am usually in a hurry. It is actually kind of deceptive how sharp it is as it treats your foot gently, only removing the dead skin... but twice now, I was not paying close attention and swiped my ankle bone by mistake. Yowch. This thing is sharp. No scars, and totally my fault. Just a heads up, do not be lulled into thinking this thing is not sharp since it handles the bottom of your foot so well... pay attention as any other surface this thing comes in contact with can get scraped if you are applying a decent amount of pressure. This is by no means a defect or flaw as it has to be able to do this in order for it to perform its task, but it is worth mentioning. I love this product!!!

This is salon grade quality. It is sharp and if you’re careful it won’t cut you, but it does move your feet just like you want and got a pedicure. I use it once a week and have not had to get my feet done at the salon in months. It’s also very cheap and probably one of the best things I’ve ever bought for my feet.

This is amazing! I prefer the macroplaners to the microplaners because they work so much better at removing calluses. I'm a nurse, and pregnant, and the calluses on my heels are horrendous. I've been going to one particular salon for pedicures because they use this, but I've since been put on bed rest. I was thrilled when I found these on amazon, cheap too! They're exactly the same as the ones they use in the salon, and I truly feel that they do a much better job at removing the calluses when compared with the micro planers. Think: the larger side of the cheese grater as opposed to the smaller size. With that being said, if you don't have really bad calluses, then this might not be for you. I do, however, highly recommend you use this after a shower or soaking your feet so you calluses are nice and soft. It makes it much easier and safer to remove. I also follow this with using a pumice stone to smooth things out, and then foot cream by Bliss.
