Wow! This product is amazing at removing calluses on my feel quickly--just like the technicians at the nail salon! I posted a picture of it in my hand because when I bought it I wasn't sure if it was as large as what I'd seen in the salon. It is! Now when I go for a pedicure I can skip paying an extra $10 to have my calluses removed. It's paid for itself already! As another reviewer warned, you need to be careful about how much skin you take off because you could end up in serious pain if you remove too much callus. I am extremely happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it! Btw, in the past I've used many, many pumice stones and other smaller callus removers that pale in comparison to this product. ... show more

I got this for my significant other. When I took it out of the packaging, I told her I had bought another cheese grater, and she bit my head off because we have at least 5 of them. But then I told her it was for her feet, and she rolled her eyes because she has 2 Ped Eggs and 2 Amope Pedi Perfect things that she hates because they don't work for her. She eventually tried the Makartt and after a few moments said, "Oh my GOD, this works GREAT." I asked her if she still wanted me to return it, and she gave me a death stare. I bought this device wondering if it would shred my skin to bits. Happy to say.. Nope. I have used pumice stones, and variations thereof for years. I have never found a device that really gets all the dead skin off, providing smooth and soft feet. I love to go around barefoot. A horrible habit, I will even garden barefoot. The first chance I get shoes and socks come off. So, I am pretty rough on my feet. I ordered this product as it looked like it had good potential, and the price was very reasonable. It arrived well packaged in a timely manner. I took it out and gave it the side eye. Honestly, it looks like a cheese grater and I figured this thing would either shred my poor feet, or be so dull as to have no effect. The writing on the package warns to not use it sideways as to risk injury. I am still unsure what they refer to as I have used it in an up and down motion, as well as side to side without issue. The grip is solid and well formed so it is easy to hang on to in the shower. Oh yeah, I use this in the shower, water running, but due to it being metal, take it out once done. So, trying to remain positive, I gave it a try. Gently and hesitantly at first as I did not want blood to start gushing. I need not have worried. This thing works like a dream. For the first time in my 48 years I have found a product that removes the dead skin and provides a lovely soft foot as a result. One caveat. I have become very used to this device and will swipe away full force as I am usually in a hurry. It is actually kind of deceptive how sharp it is as it treats your foot gently, only removing the dead skin... but twice now, I was not paying close attention and swiped my ankle bone by mistake. Yowch. This thing is sharp. No scars, and totally my fault. Just a heads up, do not be lulled into thinking this thing is not sharp since it handles the bottom of your foot so well... pay attention as any other surface this thing comes in contact with can get scraped if you are applying a decent amount of pressure. This is by no means a defect or flaw as it has to be able to do this in order for it to perform its task, but it is worth mentioning. I love this product!!! ... show more

I went to get my pedicure done one day and saw this (object) When I first encountered it, it actually thought it was a grater for food shaves!!! And i was in total shock when my pedicurist used it to shave off the heels of my feet!!! it worked wonders although I didn't have much dead skin build-up. So I ordered one as soon as I got home, and I was so happy I did and wished I'd known about it earlier. I tend to use it after my showers when my feet are soft, I press gently and scrub my heels. It leaves my heels smoother that another callus removers I've tried. I also use it sometimes when my feet are dry! and yes it works, but you see white powder like dandruff falling out rather than skin. but please be careful when using it on dry feet. DO NOT apply so much force nor pressure, as you will injure yourself since its sharp. use it on dry feet occasionally. Wash and then apply petroleum jelly, body butte, or any thick cream to your heels to lock in moisture. and enjoy the softest heels. :) ... show more

This is the MOST AMAZING product for removing calluses and dead, dry skin from your heals. I am so happy I bought it. When I go to a pedicure, the come out with a big paddle like this and then come out with the heavy stuff. That's how bad my heels are. I used this one time after receiving it and it's been over 7 days and never had to use it again! I used the Ped Egg and two different battery operated callus removers that didn't come near what this one does. It's very sturdy and didn't hurt at all. My heels used to catch on my clothes, make noise on my sheets and I used them to scratch the top of my feet all the time. LOL I rub my feet together all the time and they are nice and smooth. Get one for yourself before they run out!! ... show more

Thank god I found this.... nothing else worked. This works in seconds haha. I uploaded a pic of my never ending disgusting feet that I have for some reason, and like 45 seconds later it's that much better . Nothing works better, and I've done 100 pedicures I'm a cosmologists.
