  • Great customer service; excellent wheelchair; as described
Color: Black Size: 17.5" Seat Width
what's to like: ( please excuse the poor lighting on my photos, I was inside when I took the photos. 1. ComfyGo was out of the standard black model so they shipped the IQ8000 Limited Edition Silver Frame with Taba cushion and backrest. A $100 upgrade! In addition, if I didn't like it (hey, what's not to like) they would send me a return paid label for a full refund. That's Customer service I haven't seen since I was a Service Supervisor for a top rated medical supply company. Way to Go "ComfyGo" 2. The product is just as described and feels like it's high quality. 3. I love the Bluetooth remote that worked flawlessly, first try. I did note that the 'pairing' didn't happen as describe, but it paired on the first try. My wife can't operate the controller but I can maneuver the chair using the remote control without needing to walk beside the chair. I wish it had one slower speed as my knees don't function like they did when I didn't need the wheelchair for my wife. 3. Don't do as I did, follow the instructions to the letter. I failed to lock the rear tab as noted in the instructions, I was climbing a slope and the chair folded up on me and I fell back on my shoulder and head. still feel it in my shoulder. What's not to like? I know there are people who got a chair for doing a review, Not my case, I paid exactly what was required. Can't think of anything I don't like, but will note it's heavy... If you can't power lift a 50 lb bag of dog food, don't even try to lift it high enough to place in a ford 250 back seat or truckbed. Believe me... ... show more

  • Design of arms made it uncomfortable
Color: Bronze Size: 17.5" Seat Width
The chair is a high quality product. It folds/unfolds easily for transport or storage. The joy stick control is responsive & the turn radius is tight enough to allow going through doorways from a narrow hallway. I spent a week driving it around my house & making what adjustments I could to get comfortable in it. The reason I sent it back was the fact that the arm rests were about 3" too high. I am over 6 feet tall & got several bruises on my elbows & upper arms. This was in the house; I bought the chair to use outside. No way was I going to bump & bang around on sidewalks & the lawn. ComfyGo was extremely cooperative regarding the return of the chair. My refund was made promptly, although there were some costs involved. I really regret having to return the chair. It is a quality product that suited me fine except for the placement of the armrests. ... show more

  • EDIT: Customer Service w/ComfyGo sucks
Color: Bronze Size: 20" Seat Width
I don't like having to edit a review for negative reasons, but here we are. After 8 months, my chair developed a loud clicking in the right rear wheel. I contacted customer service though here and they asked for my phone number so a technician could call me about it. They did not, and I had to message again. Finally, I got a text from the guy; just his email address. So I emailed him about what was wrong. He wanted me to put the chair up on blocks and send a video of the wheel going. I'm *in a wheelchair*. It was supremely difficult to lift it up onto blocks without hurting my back further, and the chair does not have a dedicated place to be propped up like that on the underside. The person said they would email me directions on how to fix it, but they did not. Instead, he sent my number to "his mechanic" who only texted and also made me send a new video of the wheel, again with it up on a jack. Then he said to remove the wheel and send a video of it going with the wheel off. I couldn't get the wheel off, there was no screw where he said, and it doesn't appear to be designed to come off at all without special tools. I texted the tech this and have not heard back yet. That was two months ago. The chair still makes a horrendous clacking sound and I imagine that the wheel motor will eventually just die and it will be out of warranty by then, even though I've been trying to get help with this for 6 months. If you order, make sure your provider isn't ComfyGo. This is my first, and hopefully last, electric wheelchair. In May, I had sixteen more bolts put in my spine. A month before that, I had a plate put in my neck. I already had four bolts and a couple long rods. This is just in preparation for a hip replacement. Maybe two. The hip surgeon said I needed to have the spine surgeries first otherwise the change in posture could cause the new hip to dislocate. That sounds bad. So all the spine levels where the discs were gone are now fused. In the meantime, my hip has been degenerating fast. It's permanently stuck in a sitting position, which makes walking really hard. I do okay inside my house, but it's difficult to go anywhere, and I felt bad always having to call my husband at work to come home and take me somewhere. Or run errands himself after working all day. With this chair, I can participate again. The cushioned seat is very comfortable. The recline helps my hip pain a LOT. I can't sit straight up without a lot of pain. It's easy to drive, and the battery lasts quite a while. The brakes are hard to get used to. It does not stop on a dime, but goes a little ways before stopping. I also tend to catch my sleeve on the joystick. People tend to assume you are stupid in a wheelchair. I had stopped at the store for literally two things and so went through self checkout as usual, and the attendant came and took the items from my hands and did it for me. I went through self checkout because I can do so quickly without other people's germs. I had to tell her to quit touching my stuff. The cupholder only holds a thin thing like a water bottle, not like a McDonalds or other large cup. The flashlight is neat, and I don't have to worry about being caught at the airport when the lights go out now. I haven't told my son about the phone charger/USB port though! I wish the footplate was a little further out - I feel like my legs are drawn up too much, and I'm only 5'5". It's heavy. I can't lift it into the back of my van. But the side door is lower! I can tip up the front wheels until they are in, and then lift the back up by the handle and roll it right in. Then just lock the wheels and it stays put. I haven't had to use the remote yet, but got a ramp for if I need to put it into the back of the van at some point. The remote would be handy for that; just line it up on the ramp and go. I found the seller to be very responsive to questions both before and after purchase. ... show more

  • Great customer service
Color: Bronze Size: 17.5" Seat Width
This is a really nice power wheelchair. I had a problem with the charger, called customer service and they were super responsive and sent a new charger out, wanting to make sure all my concerns were taken care of.

  • a solid good product
Color: Bronze Size: 17.5" Seat Width
This wheelchair checked all the boxes except one, that keeps it from being a 5 star rating. It dosen"t have a key to lockout the chair from an easy theft. It may sound trivial but, after renting park chairs, the convenience of just removing the key and leaving the chair to go to the bathroom or on a ride and not have someone take the chair is well worth it to me. ... show more

  • Chair controller
Color: Silver Size: 17.5" Seat Width
Seems obvious that the person or persons who designed this chair do not use wheelchairs to get around. The most annoying thing is the hand controller. Very annoying beep for warning. Beeps continually while backing up (which I do understand) but I am not using it in a construction zone. Sound is far too loud for use at home with other persons. And the light on the pad is way too bright especially when trying to use it in the middle of night trying not to awaken my spouse. ... show more

  • Need Gronk
It is taking a little while to get used to get used to the joy stick. I'm thrilled to be able to go to parks and zoos. Hopefully I can get GRONK from the Bucs to lift it into a car.
