It is NOT insulated, in spite of the description. This appears to be injection molded plastic panels, maybe as thick as Tupperware. i.e. quite bendy. The house does not assemble as easily as it should. The assembly instructions are just images, numbered for the recommended order of assembly, but I suppose that is better than china-glish. Tip: put the screws in as you proceed, or it will fall apart as fast as you can assemble it. It is claimed weatherproof but it looks to me like it will leak heavily, so I caulked all the vulnerable seams with silicone. The door is huge for the size of house. I hung a towel over the opening to obstruct driven rain, and wind in general. I secured it at the top with screws. I bought this for shelter for a homeless cat and his feral girlfriend as a replacement for one I had made from a discarded TV stand. Inside, I have a piece of 2" Styrofoam covered in denim. When they lay upon it, it feels like it is heated. Polypropylene plastic gets very brittle in Florida sun, but I am hoping it will last a couple of years. So far, the cats have not had much interest in it, although they immediately explored that old TV stand and cuddled inside on cold nights. I might attach some carpet scraps inside for some insulation value and scratching entertainment. I will not buy another one like this. That happy dog in the photo is probably on drugs. I think this is best used to keep birds and rain out of food bowls rather than as a shelter. ... show more
