These beads work! I read some of the reviews after they weren't balancing like they should have with 4.5 oz bags then I found the problem. My tires are LT245/16 E rated (10) ply, I need 6.5 oz bags and after adding 2 more oz to each tire they smoothed out as they should have. 1 review bothered me, the fella was doing off road and spent $200 and going back to spin balance. Most likely he didn't use the next bigger bag for higher ply tires and to, in a forum I ran across off roaders couldn't get any kind of beads to work. Now I a DYI kinda of guy, and I didn't want to break down the tire to put the beads in and didn't have a funnel. I bought a funnel that would go over the rubber part of the valve stem and cut the a new valve stem off where the funnel stopped on the valve stem. Then I took the cutoff valve stem and pushed it over the valve stem with the core removed. Now with the funnel pushed over the cutoff end of the new valve stem I was able to feed the bead into the tire, but one must go really slow feeding the bead. Keep and eye on inside the funnel so when the beads stack up, stop and tap the setup to get them to shake down into the tire. Yes, it is slow but I had to get on the road fast and didn't have time for a tire shop to get the job done. Another thing, I ran into out of balance brake drums and I had to balance them too because spin balancing the tire won't take care of out of balance brake drums, you will still get the shaking. That is a whole other story using an old school bubble tire balancer.

With 35" MTs on 15s balancing it a pain as it is. But when offroading every other weekend at different OHV parks and airing down to 13psi abusing your tires then airing back to 50psi. Maintaining your balance is pretty much impossible and annoying. Luckily I have a shop and balancer or it would be expensive also. Wanted to try these though since they're not a specifically mounted weight. Was very surprised and happy. Worked very well. Took weights off, pressed tire off the bead and put the recommended amount in each tire plus a little extra to be sure. Was rough at first, then balanced out. Been great ever since. Definitely would use these for anyone that goes offroading. Don't bother with weights anymore! I put these in my f250 and trailer, trail rig, and daily drver.

I tried my honest best to give this product a chance but it simply DOES NOT WORK as good as standard balancing. My first attempt was with a set of wheels that had lost their weights and were already imbalanced.. tried the beads and there was little to no improvement, truck still wobbled like crazy.. i figured okay well this vehicle spends alot of time offorad so maybe the wheels have some damage. Bought a brand new set of wheels and tires, had them balanced normally at a shop and the truck drove smooth again, well except for when id get mud in the rims which would happen often and this product claims to automatically adjust for that issue when it happens so i figured why not give it another chance. I bought and installed them and cleaned the wheels and tires well just for testing purposes. Immediately after installing the beads the wheels were horribly imbalanced and reduced my fuel milage almost 5 mpg!!! I thought okay well, maybe ill try and pull the lead weights off as i saw several people do that in the reviews and well.. you can probably guess it didnt work baised on the title of my review. After the weights were removed the beads worked between about 20mph ~ 60mph before 20 you can feel a little wobble as they find their place after 60 they vibrate my truck horribly as if the wheels were nor balanced atall. I also notice that when they are working if im going around any kind of bend tight enough the beads will shift and the vehicle will vibrate again like i dont even have it balanced until im back in a straight line. So after hours of my time installing and uninstalling this garbage and over 200$ in balancing fees at the shop and of corse the 50$ i wasted on this gimmick of a product i can safely say that this product might work okay givin you drive everywhere under 60mph in a straight line but if you want your wheels balanced properly go to a trusted alignment or tire shop and just have it done normally, save yourself the hassle!! As most cheap alternatives go, its never as good as the correct method of fixing somthing, and these "balancing" beads are yet another product that keeps that statement factual!

Bought these beads before with great success. This time wasn't so great. Bought 4 brand new tires for my 16 gmc sierra and decided to purchase the beads in question. Dropped the bags off desired amount into each tire and mounted them. Had a vibration that would come and go, sometimes it would get really bad, then not to bad. Didn't think much of it, but after 150 miles I got fed up. Went back to work and dismounted all 4 tires and see. Well 2 of the 4 bags didn't open and had a bundle of beads stuck in a section of the disposable bags. Sucks because directions say to use the thin bad that's supposed to disintegrate after wheels speed up for certain amount of time. So I would suggest you pour them into tire just before mounting the tire on the rim, that way no bad inside tire. And no chance they got stuck in the bag. Good product otherwise , I have used them before without fail. But sometimes it happens. Picture of partial open bag in pic attached.
