I purchased this MagSafe tripod mount for my selfie stick and my iPhone 14 pro. The design is made from plastic and has a very clean overall look. The design is about 4 inches tall and 2 3/8" wide x 1" deep measured at the knurled knob at the base of the tripod mount. The adjustable angle joint at the bottom is very stiff and seems to be non-adjustable without removing the covers. The magnet is strong and when used by itself takes a very abrupt shake to dislodge my iPhone. Carrying it in most places with simple shaking has no impact. It's as strong as I've seen. Adding the two tension arms makes it nearly impossible to dislodge. While the tension arms work very well, they are a little different to use. Unlike other tripod phone holders, I've used, this design features extending tension springs on both arms stops. Pushing the phone against one arm/stop does not extend the arm out far enough to hold the phone. So, you have to push the phone against one side to extend it while you pull the other side open with your fingers. Stretching both sides provides space for the phone. Its' pretty easy once you get used to it, but it does take both hands and a little more concentration to install the phone. The tradeoff is spring tension provided on both sides for a really firm grip. Extra grip when your phone is MagSafe compatible. Or just a very good grip for older phones without magnets – again the tension grip by itself is as good as I’ve seen – maybe better. Attached to my self-stick this tripod mount works very well. For my iPhone 14 Pro, I typically only use the magnet mount unless I’m hiking and/or want to carry the phone attached to the selfie stick as I move. What’s really nice about this mount is that my wife can use it with her older iPhone 10 by using just tension arms. Some other MagSafe phone holder designs have extending arms but most of these are the ratcheting, stabilizing type and provide no tension to hold non-magnetic phones. This tripod MagSafe phone holder meets the descriptions and images on the website. It’s constructed from strong plastic and features a strong magnet. It has a smooth overall look that is very compact and lightweight. It feels very good and not overly heavy when attached to a selfie stick. But yet it has a strong very robust feel in your hands. The magnetic mount rotates for portrait and landscape orientation and features solid detent at each orientation. The angle adjustment at the bottom is stiff but holds your phone without sagging. The tension arms fold flat into the face of the magnetic ring but are ready to use at a moment’s notice providing a clean look. However, you do have to remove your phone to use them. If you’re looking for a flexible, very functional, Phone holder for your Tripod or Selfie stick. This is a good one to consider. Lightweight, strong, and well designed. Very good magnet and gripping tension arms. I would recommend it.

Love this, makes swapping phones such a breeze! I would only suggest stronger magnets in the next version as there is still the occasional bump that knocks the phone completely off the mount.

I keep this mounted on the end of my tripod / selfie-stick because it's so easy to pop the phone on and off - no complicated spring-loaded clamps to mess with. Despite being listed only for iPhones, I use this with my Samsung S24 Ultra because I have a case with a metal circle on the back. It's perfect for these sort of magsafe devices and I love being able to attach my phone to this magnetic mount quickly with ease.

I have many, many selfie sticks, tripod mount and so on. What I realized after getting aluminum tripod mounts is that I want a super simple system, even if cheap, that holds the phone reasonably securely and is a 1 second attach and 1 second detach. That led me to magsafe/magnetic mounts. There are, unfortunately, very few good quality magnetic heads although I suspect the situation is getting resolved in a hurry. With that: 1. The magnet on this works really well. My Samsung S23 Ultra with a iron magnetic ring attached to the case can be held on to this mount and does not detach unintentionally. Yay! 2. The construction is very nice with padded rubber on the connecting surface so you don't scratch your phone surface. 3. The connection to the tripod is both 1/4" screw and a cold shoe mount which works well. 4. It tilts both forward and backward unlike another one I got which only tilted backwards. On the cons side, the additional grip provided on this is very small. It can barely fit my S23 ultra when I have it stretched to its max and I am not comfortable putting my phone in the jaws. Anyways, I got this for the magnetic mount so don't really care about the spring loaded mount. However, it is good to know that it is not for larger phones. Overall, it is a decent value for money if you are looking for a magnetic head. To be truthful, I found a very simple, selfie stick that costs the same but has the selfie stick and a relatively weaker magnet than this which I found as the main goto when I am heading out. If you already have a great tripod/selfie stick that you love and simply want a magnetic head, this works well. If you are in the market for a brand new setup, it may be worth looking for a combo that has both parts as it significantly simplifies the overall solution.
