My wife loves this hands-free phone holder. She has carpal tunnel, and not having to hold her phone has been very helpful. It wraps around your leg and Velcroes together to hold in place. The magnet is strong and keeps the phone still with few issues.

    • Maybe not ideal for guitar, but works great for a phone
I used the stick-on rings with my android phone and android tablet. You don't need an Apple device. These rings are the same diameter as standard magsafe / mag-safe magnetic rings - replacements can be found on Amazon. They will work as long as you have 2 & 3/16 inch flat space on the back of your device. I estimate it will fit on your thigh as long as yours are not bigger than 9 inches diameter. Overall, I was impressed with the strap's magnet, plenty strong to hold my phone and tablet. It was more awkward to play with my guitar than I hoped, but it is possible so I don't fault it for that. However, my tablet is heavy enough that it keeps slipping down unless I keep the strap tight and don't have on slick pants. It would have been more ideal if it had an abrasive inside rather than the existing smooth finish. Given all that, it is certainly plenty usable for purposes other than playing guitar.     • Fantastic holder with more uses that as a thigh holder, I use it to hold my phone on my headboard.
I have to admit I didn't get this to use as a thigh tablet/phone holder from the get-go. I was looking for a magnetic phone holder to attach to my headboard because I was tired of my phone sliding off my bed sometimes, especially when it would slide between the headboard and wall. This works great for that, attaching securely to my headboard but in a way that doesn't leave any marks or has to use adhesive or drilling to attach to it, it holds securely to the headboard and is easy to reposition. The design is nice and sturdy with good build quality of materials. The magnet is strong and my phone attaches well to it with no worries of it being knocked off while I sleep outside of maybe an accidental sucker punch or karate chop to the side of the phone, but I feel like even then the magnet would hold well. Good fit and a nice size makes it easily portable. Was a great solution to what I was looking for, love it. ... show more

For more reviews of this product, check the listing where it's advertised as a guitar accessory. It's pretty simple for what you're paying: A velcro strap (no "adjustable buckle", you just cut to length if needed), with a strong magnet and a couple adhesive disks. Works great on a phone, especially an iPhone with built-in magsafe. There's no orientation magnet so it just holds where every you put it. For an iPad, you'll have to add the adhesive ring, at least for my 11" Air. There's some grippy texture to the flame icon. I can see this being somewhat useful in a plane, but honestly it's good enough for me to throw my phone in the side pocket. I already have a kneeboard on my right thigh, so this would have to be added to my other leg. It's easy to think of other use cases and some are mentioned in the listing. Anything you can put a strap around can hold anything with this ring attached. You can hold your phone on a tree if you want. I'm just not positive this will find much acceptance for aviation. I'd rather have a magnet under my paper kneeboard so my phone doesn't slide away if I set it there for a second. Four stars, mostly because it seems a bit expensive for what you get. ... show more

I have a different use for this kneeboard strap. I use it to attach one half of my keyboard to my leg. For my purpose, the strap works well. The magnetic puck is strong and holds one half of my wireless Corne. My keyboard is about as long as a Note 20 Ultra. The magnetic puck will hold any Magsafe device, or you can add one of the included magnetic stickers to your device. The magnetic puck is well-made. The magnet is strong. The back of the puck, the part that touches your thigh, isn’t too bulky. It’s streamlined, so that adds to the comfort. The velcro strap is slightly stretchy. The strap doesn’t have a buckle to pull it tight, so there is excess velcro to deal with. ... show more
