I bought this specifically because it said ages 1-3, but when I received the item, the box said ages 3 plus. My 22 month old immediately stuck the small magnets in his mouth. I had to take those away from him, but so far, I think everything else is ok for his age. Otherwise it's a good toy, just keep that in mind if you decide to purchase.
