I bought this accessory to my trip to Hawaii and it did not disappoint. I haven't tested the magnet strength but it held my GoPro and Insta360 One X pretty well when I mounted it above the hood of my rental car. The base is rubberized and did not leave any scratches on the car's paint. It also withstood speeds up to 60mph (I haven't tested faster speeds due to Hawaii's speed limits). I use this on a 6" metal pole and it has plenty of grip to hold one of my Mevo cameras. On a flat surface, it could easily hold a camcorder. The ball head is good, not the best. Definitely not the worst. The lever helps you get the torque to tighten it, and the lever is adjustable if you pull on the knob ... show more
