These are like playing minecraft in real life, sure there are only a set number of blocks here, but you can mix and match with other sets. They hold together pretty good, as long as you dont try to carry the build.

They're very cute, and the colours, sound and feel really cool. But for the price you pay, i would have expected bigger and more blocks. I feel like that could be very limiting with what you create. You dint realise how limiting it can be once you start creating a scene. Definitely need multiple packs to create more fun. Lets just hope they are durable after long hours of play.

First off: be careful opening the box! It's fairly sturdy cardboard, and, if you open it carefully, you can continue to use it to store the building bricks. It's sized so that all 100 blocks fit perfectly, so it's an easy way to see that you've packed everything away. These are very satisfying "mine-style" building cubes that kids will instantly recognize as resembling a popular game. The set contains: 2 window bricks, 4 flowering bush/tree bricks, 10 water bricks, 10 plain bush/tree bricks, 14 wood bricks, 20 grass/ground bricks, 20 red brick bricks, and 20 stone bricks (100 bricks total). The bricks are small, less than 1 inch square. They're very lightweight, and they'll always stick to each other-- nothing gets repelled (important to note when magnets are involved). You can copy the building on the box, but you'll more than likely want to let your imagination take over. The only limitation I can see is that there aren't that many bricks in this set, so you may want to mix and match. However, the small size of this set and the magnet's ability to stick together (and thus not get lost easily) could make this a good choice for travel. I also think that adults could enjoy this as a kind of fidget toy. It would be cool to keep on your desk at work, for instance, if you like to fidget with something during phone calls. In conclusion: a good toy for kids and adults, but you will likely want to expand the number of bricks you have.

We have five different magnetic block sets, all of different brands. It should be noted that this is the only one that has cubes of a different size. Our other sets all have 1" cubes, but this set is about 3/4", so compatibility would not be seamless. But this is a very nice set by itself. The colors are bright, and the magnets work really well with a satisfying grab to them. Also you can make a pretty substantial construction out of a set with 100 pieces. But two of these sets together would be IDEAL for kids who like making more elaborate worlds.

This has been so exciting to have around, got it for my son's birthday, he got to be a 7 year old, and loved it. Have to admit that what he likes the most is the "minecraft" look of the pieces, it contains enough pieces to get lots of fun but it will let you wanting more, which I think is a good thing. Highly recommended, very well made and friendly.
