I wanted inexpensive CD player because when I got a couple of new CDs, I realized that my old CD player had broken and I did not have a CD player anymore! So far I am pleased with this unit and it has a surprisingly good sound for being small. I also like that you can use an AC plug or you can fill it with C batteries for a DC current. Not complicated to operate. One thing to consider is that it has no headphones included. Those are available separately I believe.

My family purchased this handy little CD player to test numerous CDs before including them in a yard sale. The size is just right, as we were not looking for a boom box-sized device. It would work equally well on a small patio or bedroom. The CD player functions perfectly and the volume control is also easy to use. My family gives the player a two-thumbs up in value for the price.

First, Magnovox is a well-known brand in the Us. I have never regretted buying it, which I have done many times, usually in a big city like NY or LA, because that's where I lived most of my life. It's an object that's easy to use if you're a non-techical person like me. Also, now that I'm almost 80, it's suitably lightweight. I can move it anywhere in my bedroom, which has eight outlets, to my desk or a smaller bedside table, even the bathroom if I'm listening to a sports commentary. Even though transistor radiors have been around for a long time, for me, they will always be necessary. For instance that's how I get my news, especially local announcements. By the way, I don't think anyone calls them transistors anymore. It's just that Magnovx has been around longer than other unfamiliar brands, so I trust it.

This is the 2nd one iv purchased off amazon and it literally only lasts about a year. I thought maybe the first one was faulty but no it’s done it again. Not sure what’s up with these but once they start skipping your cd’s and working sometimes and not working, it’s soon to go out. Wish I could say better for the price of these but I’ll find me one more expensive to try next time.
