Tiny flashlight, gives off strong light. I like the fact that it only uses one AAA battery, NOT a button battery which are sometimes hard to find and are expensive. These are very nice. Good quality for a good price. Small, but put out a lot of light. I gave several of these for gifts and everyone seemed pleased. The box makes a nice presentation as a gift, but I doubt many people keep the light in the box. good size for the glove box in the car.

Very little light from incandescent bulb. An identical pen light is available from Maglite that uses a powerful LED chip. I like the Solitare better than any pocket penlight but not the old style incandescent - basically worthless. Spend a couple of bucks more and order the LED version. I guess I did not read carefully. This is an old fashioned flashlight with traditional bulb. It works. Size is small and convenient, but does not give much light. The LED version is a little more money but is better.
