The media could not be loaded. When it comes to setting this up, the instructions were really easy to follow. Whether you want to use this as a keypad, you have the option of not having to use it. If you do, all you have to do is put the batteries inside, push and hold the reset button that is found on the inside of the door. When I first opened this safe, I was wondering how you would use the keys since it doesn't look like there is a place to insert them, so I included a video that showed how. You do have to use a little pressure when opening the door and as you can see, it does come completely off. When using the key, you have to turn it to the left a quarter of the way, then turn the dial to open. When it comes to closing it, once you close it, you do need to turn the dial again to lock the bolts inside of the holes and then turn the key a quarter of the way to the right. Putting the piece over the key hole is easy too. I now have the safe screwed into a safe place and it was really easy to do. This even comes with the screws to do so, along with batteries for the keypad. This safe is really easy to use and can store a good amount of important documents inside.

The first safe I ordered did not work. The reset button did not work. All 4 batteries were fully charged. I sent an Email to Maglag. They got back with me and sent me a new safe free of charge, even after I told them I'd returned the first one to Amazon for a full refund. The replacement they sent does work! One thing I like about this safe is that you can make your code by numbers or letters. Very easy to set up if all the parts are functioning. They also have a very good video showing how to set it up.

I rarely write reviews for products but I thought this one needed one for other potential buyers. It is easy to set up, use, and bolt into the ground however it is very cheaply made and the metal used is extremely thin and could easily be smashed apart with a hammer. It could also easily be ripped out of the ground with a crowbar regardless of it being bolted to the ground due to the flimsiness of the metal. Yes, it is not expensive but for just $20 more you can get a safe that is much nicer and much more secure. As an example, if the safe isn’t bolted down, just opened the door will cause it to fall forward. That’s how light and thin the steel is.. I will most likely be returning this. I would not recommend it if you are actually using it to store anything of value. Most hotel safes are 10x as secure as this one.

T love the electronic lock feature because it makes accessing your valuables so much faster and easier. It also comes with 2 keys which is agood backup to have if the electronic lock malfunctions for whatever reason. You're able to set your own digit combination and it's super easy to set that up. This safe is excellent quality, and a great value!
