When this card came out it was the laughing stock of the magic community. It is still after all these years a really bad card. The price people are paying for it makes me laugh. The quick mana isn't worth the cards you lose in it's use. If you use it when your hand is already empty the three mana probably isn't worth the 1 card cost anymore anyways. There may be combos out there that can utilize this but it is situational and not staple type value which makes this card way over priced. ... show more

This provides absurd utility in sharuum EDH decks right off the bat, I use one in mine and the very beginning of the game it’s basically an overpowered soul ring on steroids
