It is not perfect, but it is the best at what it offers. What if offers is the ability to use your iPad as a Swiss Army knife. Apple’s original asking price was a hard pill to swallow, but the recent price drop makes this easier to justify. I have spent a lot of money searching for the combination that this setup offers, and there simply isn’t a better option out there (IMO). The iPad can now be used as a laptop on the go; it will get most people through their daily tasks with ease, but depending on your use case, I would not rely solely on this setup as a computer is still better for most tasks. The use of the pogo pins allows no perceptible latency in the typing experience and is there the moment you need it. Having one less device to charge is awesome. The backlit keys are a huge help. The extra USB-C charging port is a huge help. I purchased the Pitaka case for the back (a bit pricey, but also the best) and now I don’t have to worry about damaging the iPad when I use it as a tablet. The only issue I have had is that the keyboard and trackpad will ‘zone out’ sometimes while using the keyboard’s charging port. It has only happened to me twice. The fix is to perform a hard reset of the device (volume down, volume up, Home). This is an expensive setup, but I get a lot of use out of this configuration. I have spent significant time and money on similar Android and Windows offerings, this is simply the best there is. I had the 12.9” iPad Pro/magic keyboard setup as well, but I found that too big to carry around and it really limited my tablet use. My use was marking up multiple pdf documents (simultaneously) in industrial settings, not taking, and MS Office document editing.

Purchased in June 2021 for $190. I, being notoriously cheap, am always looking for ways to save money on Apple products. The Magic Keyboard for iPad is no exception. A new Magic Keyboard for iPad is a whopping $299.99 retail. This "renewed" Magic Keyboard is a downright bargain at less than $200. I was pleasantly surprised that the Magic Keyboard came in its original packaging, and cosmetically looked brand new. Comes with Amazon's 90-day Renewed Guarantee (replacement or refund). As you are buying a used Magic Keyboard it's important to rigorously test all the keys and trackpad. But all-in-all, I am very happy with the "renewed" product option. Your mileage may vary so make sure to carefully examine the Magic Keyboard. Some general Positives and Negatives on the product. Positives * No batteries required. * Best trackpad available for any keyboard/trackpad combo. * Very good scissor-style keys. Negatives * No function keys. * No Escape key. * No detachable iPad case protector (like the Logitech Combo Touch). * 90-day warranty vs. 1-year Apple warranty for new Magic Keyboard. Comes with "Free Return" so a no-loss proposition to buy and try out.

BUYER BEWARE. I bought this magic keyboard as an upgrade to my folio keyboard, and the price was very enticing. While I knew it was renewed, most of the stuff I purchase is refurbished or renewed. When I opened the box, my first impressions were good. The keyboard was wrapped in original apple wrapping which was nice. Upon taking off the wrapper, I was immediately greeted with large chips on the sides of the keyboard. I could walk into a room and immediately notice something like that. I was very disappointed by this so I contacted for a return. Out of curiosity I hooked up my iPad to the mount and tried using the keyboard. It was complete busted. My iPad doesn’t register any keys or anything, and when I plugged the keyboard in to charge, I heard an electric hissing noise. This was the worst renewed/refurbished item I have ever purchased, and I hope to receive a refund/replacement soon.

This item arrived in the original Apple packaging and included corresponding documents. It works perfectly!!! I'm very selective about buying "renewed" products but I'm really glad that I chose this one from Amazon. It takes the iPad Pro 11 to a whole new level.

I recently bought an iPad Air 4 and wanted a case with a keyboard for it. Apple's Magic Keyboard has great reviews but the price? Nah. I researched some other brands but concluded I really want Apple's keyboard. Oh well, I thought. Then I remembered Amazon Renewed. There it was! A little more than 1/2 the price! I figured I'd order it and if it was bad, I'd return it. Well, It's pretty darn good! There is one minor blemish on the back of the case. Renewed means used. So, no issue there. It functions as it's supposed to and the overall quality is excellent. The iPad Air 4 is the same size as the Pro 11" so the fit is perfect and the magnets hold it on as they are meant to. The USB-c charger works as it's supposed to as do the keys and trackpad. An excellent addition to the iPad Air! portability and functionality all in one package. VERY satisfied!

Using this with the iPad Air is very similar to working on my MacBook Pro. While the keyboard layout is a bit smaller, it is still very functional including gesture touchpad, backlit keys and direct connectivity rather than bluetooth. No need to charge a separate battery! The keypad locks into usable angles, includes a USB-C charging port hidden in the base. Absolute home run addition to my bag
