Bought these about 7 months ago and am happy to report all continue to work. With solar anything, it always seems to be hit or miss, so the fact they still light is a very good sign. Tis true, they are plastic, however, in this instance I think that is an advantage. They won't rust and so far haven't faded or cracked, and have managed to survive several vicious storms. But the real difference between these little solar lights and others is the lattice cut design. When they light up, they create this very attractive geometric pattern that looks very classy from afar. I have had others that cast a star burst pattern which also looked pretty cool, but these are far better, in my opinion. Installation was fairly standard, nothing tricky, and they include two different height stakes. One allows them to sit at ground height and the other raises them maybe 4" above. The higher version probably allows for more of that lattice pattern to spread out and that is how I have them. They aren't super bright, but they do provide enough light to guide you safely up a driveway or sidewalk. All in all, they are a smidge pricey for plastic lights, but the solar panel seems pretty effective and the overall effect is worth it, I believe.

These provide a nice edge lighting accent for my home. The assembly is not difficult but it seems that there is a proper end of the tube that only fits one way. Might just be me, but if it did not want to insert, I would turn it around and the other end fit easily. These are plastic, they have stood up very well so far. they have been staying on all night which is plenty long enough for me. I imagine as winter gets here, the shorter days (less charge time and weaker sun angle) and longer nights they may not stay lit all night. These do not really provide enough light for illuminating a pathway for safety, but they do provide enough light to accent a pathway or garden edge. Make sure you turn them on when you put them together.

Good news/Bad news. (See images) Here's the bad news: After receiving the initial shipment of eight lights, within a month only three of the eight lights are still working. After the first one stopped working and I wrote the initial two star review, a company rep emailed me and I told her that in exchange for a replacement light I would ratchet up the review a star or two. The company rep eventually sent me another box of eight lights. Now for the good news: After being outside for well over a month, all eight of the replacement lights are still working all night, every night.. Evidently they had some quality control issues at the factory that have since been cleared up. Due to their (eventually) great customer service, obviously improved product quality and the ease of replacing lights that do go bad, I'm upping the rating to four stars. Speaking of that easy fix of the lights that go bad, here it is: If you have bought these and they quit working, don't toss them in the trash. Go to the local Dollar Tree and get enough Garden Collection Solar-Powered Stone-Look Stake Lights (SKU: 262913) to replace the light units that have stopped working. Remove only very tops of the Maggift light assembly that contains the light and solar charger. (See image 1) Then remove the stakes from the Dollar Tree lights. (See image 2) You will find that the tops of the Dollar Tree lights will fit snugly into the Maggift light box. See image 3) The result is the same dazzling light pattern shining on your walkway as when the Maggift light were new! (See image 4) BTW: The Dollar tree black solar lights might work also. Simply check that the diameter of the round, Dollar tree lights don't exceed the opening dimension of the Maggift light housing. And yes, putting the round light into the square top of the light box results in holes at the four corners. That's no problem; the lights still look good and any water that enters the box simply drains out the bottom. If the mirror at the bottom of the box gets dirty simply pull up the box, remove the Dollar Tree light and spray it out with a garden hose.

These have a lovely glow pattern! However, they did not work for long! Very disappointing! The solar squares got cloudy and would not charge. I bought way too many to try to replace the backup batteries.

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE!!! 4 months later 7 of the 24 lights I’ve bought work now, that’s 17 lights in 4 months that have broken, I decided to buy replacement batteries hoping that would solve my problem but the batteries were not the issue it’s the wiring and connectors inside of the solar charger that go bad from being outside in the elements, all the screws have rust and the light bulbs have turned orange, these lights take in the same rain as all my other solar lights I’ve purchased from other companies and they all claim to be waterproof but these were the only ones I have giving me troubles. The lights are awesome when they work but doesn’t seem worth it to me for only a few months and now they are broken, tried contacting the company but they told me to get replacement batteries even though I told them that was already done. I will be taking pictures of all the 17 broken lights and writing them back hoping they solve this issue. Love these lights and get complements from the neighbors so I’m happy, I actually like my garden more at night than at the day now with all my lights set up. I’ll buy more once I get done with more gardens! Highly recommend! Also I water my plants heavily and the lights get sprayed down and no issues, my mom came over and ran over 3 of them and they still work so you can’t say they are bad quality.
