Zipper side pockets are generous but not too large, back zipper side pocket is also generous. I'd buy 1 in every color. I've worn them in the rain and cold for about 5 hours since I've been working outdoors for the season. All I use is a pair of thermals and the pants and they are fabulous. I like that they button and zipper like a pair of jeans, and have pockets. I don't feel big or round in them like the old snow pants made you look. I've gotten many compliments on them and asked if they came in mens sizes. I have the purple. Nice deep color. I ordered a medium and still have some room. I'm afraid if I order the small they won't fit or be too tight. But I will order another color- maybe red. ... show more

These fit perfectly at the waist. They are a little looser than I like in the hips and legs, but I stiched up the seam going up the inside of the legs and solved that problem. I am also short, so I had to hem them. But I am super excited to wear these when I go to Alaska next month!
