Yup, the reviews were right. Heavy, but just a lot of pieces that are drop dead simple to assemble. Snug fit for some cross pieces (we did use a hammer to tap them in). Gap between the cross pieces conceivably could be an issue, but we had a thin wood panel that just happened to fit to provide the mattress the base the warranty required. Now some have mentioned that the mattress might slide. We solved that by using waffle-y shelf liner that solved the problem. Thin foam will also work to "glue" the mattress to the base. Discrete and sturdy. Will accommodate a headboard with the several holes on the legs. Remember to order the height that will work with your mattress. Different height options is a useful to get the right overall bed height. In short, an excellent product that much exceeded our expectation. Beautifully finished and darned substantial. This frame was relatively easy and quick to set up, has been sturdy and offered zero problems since we assembled it, and was a very reasonable price for the quality--would definitely recommend, especially if you're looking to avoid having to purchase a box spring!

We have a small bedroom that’s an awkward shape and this is the only “good” spot to put the bed in that room. It’s the perfect height, with a mattress on top it doesn’t block the window at all.     • Easy set up and sturdy
I struggled for years trying to use an antique bed frame with the original slats. It was creaky and squeaky like living in Scrooge’s attic. Finally I bit the bullet based on reviews and this frame does not disappoint. I put it together by myself in about 15 minutes. They have clear dummy proof instructions. The bed is exactly the same shape as my mattress. I have a 12” memory foam mattress that is now 3’ to the top. Very tall bed with a lot of room under it for easy vacuuming. I still used the old connectors for the head and foot board to stay together but I could have maybe used the holes in the bed frame to hold it up. Luckily the queen side boards were still usable and just enough room to hook into. No more squeaking. My mattress feels flat and perfect. Almost like a new mattress the only thing I felt sad about is the height makes my room feel smaller. I have a 16’ x 16’ room and the bed interrupts the flow aesthetically. But I’m happy with it. I like the bedding not touching the floor and being up higher is cozy ... show more

I like a tall bed. My mattress foundation broke, it was cheaper to buy a new frame that didn't need a foundation than it was to replace it. So I got this 20" frame. Not only did it keep my bed the same height as it was before with the foundation, now I have tons of storage space underneath that I didn't have before! Seems super sturdy as well. I bought some none skid pads to put on legs because bed did scoot too easily on my hardwood floors. Assembly was easy enough, I mean - there's a lot of slats, but I had it all together in no time. So I bought the 16 inch queen frame. Put it together over the course of 2 hours while watching a movie. Very simple and straight forward. Everything fits the first time. Instructions were clear and they gave me enough screws plus extras and basic hand tools, a allen wrench and a flimsy flat wrench. Don't crank on the wrench. The frame is solid and plenty of space below. I'm 5'6 and almost bought the 20 inch frame. That would've been a mistake. Think I'm going to love this frame from my old pile of kindling I had to keep repairing. ... show more
