This is a well built, excellent cooler. It has an attractive, abrasion resistant exterior with 6 zippered pockets with nice zipper pulls, 2 small mesh pockets and a fabric pocket on the back side. It even comes with an attached bottle opener. It also has two sturdy side carry handles, a top carry handle plus a carrying strap. It has a series of attachment webbing on each side of the front that you can attached rope/paracord/bungee cord/shockcord to carry your jacket or other clothing or light stuff. It also has a velcro opener on top so you don't have to zip the entire top to get something from the cooler. This is a great feature since it keeps the cooler colder longer. I tested the cooler with 3 plastic freezer packs (7"x4"x1"), a thermometer and 8 12 oz cans of soda. They started with a temperature of 40 degrees F. I checked them using the velcro top lid every 2 hours for the first 12 hours. Over the first 12 hours, it only warmed to 41F and after 24 hours to 45F. I then redid the test opening the full zippered top every 2 hours and this showed the importance of the top velcro door. It warmed to 45F after 12 hours. I'm a retired Test Engineer now living in the Florida Big Bend area. Fishing is my primary activity these days. We use insulated containers to transport our food on fishing trips and, often, transport fish back. Hence, ruggedness and thermal properties are major factors in our purchase decision. While we have not used this cooler long enough to attest to it's ruggedness and durability, we were able to test it's thermal insulation properties by comparing the amount of time it took a 1 lb piece of dry to sublimate away 1/2 of it's weight. The weight and internal pressure of the cooler was measured and plotted, then compared to performance of very similar coolers made by Coleman and Igloo. While I wouldn't call a formal product characterization/qualification, I can confidently state that the thermal performance of the cooler (airtightness and thermal insulation) exceeded the best of the reference coolers by and average of 7.2%. Why do you need a collapsible cooler? Why not used an Igloo, Yeti...ice chest? Keep on reading. This collapsible cooler makes it a good tool for traveling with limited space. It packs down nicely to be flat that can be fitted into a check-in bag for flights, used in hotels, car trips, shopping trips etc. Held up ice pretty well over a couple of days. Of course this depends on how much ice you pack into your cooler, more ice; the longer (days) it will last. It has 6 zipped pockets, 2 nets on each side, and a small Velcro flap on the top where you can flip it open to grab a few drinks without having to unzipped the complete top layer. There is a short handle to carry but they did not include a shoulder strap with the bag. There are clips where you can add a shoulder strap on for easier carrying. There was no leaking when I tested it with ice and water. Don't add any sharp objects inside the bag as this well tear the inner protection layer but this is with all collapsible cooler or and cooler bags that you find at the warehouse stores. Just received my 80 can bag. Love the color. I got blue. It is a nice size. Big enough to hold what I want but still small enough to fit on the back of my kayak or in my john boat. Since its December and almost Christmas I have not had a chance to take it out fishing yet but I am excited to try it out. My main goal was to get a back that I could throw some waters in and a few snacks with a pile of ice to if I want to keep a couple of fish for dinner I can keep them cold until I get back home. I like the small opening at the top. It will be easy to just slide a fish right in without opening the whole cooler and the pockets will let me take a few snack bars without having them in with the dead fish. The media could not be loaded. I am very impressed with this cooler. I have not used it yet, but carefully looked it over & tried out all openings & handles. First, the overall impression is of a high quality material. The grey looks nicer than I thought it would. It looks like a soft fabric, but It feels resistant & durable. The handles on the top velcro together. There are 2 side small handles just big enough for your hand. And the shoulder strap is nicely padded & easy to attach and detach. The clips are a thick plastic with metal openers. They feel sturdy. The zippers are sturdy and have nicer large pulls that even larger fingers will fit in. They open and close smoothly. There are good sized pockets on all 4 sides. They are big enough to actually use for a variety of purposes. The sides have a mesh pocket too. The front has a bungee strap to hold an additional bulky item. The lid has a very convenient opening on top for easy access to the items inside. It is secured by velcro around all 3 sides. This is important. I had one with this feature previously that I loved, but there was a gap on the sides since it only had velcro along the front. It also has sturdy rubber feet on the bottom. It raises the cooler slightly & I think it won't shift around in the car as much. The inside is smooth & will be easy to clean. The coooler folds down, but it is very sturdy and doesn't collapse at all. Very nicely made. I love this cooler & look forward to using it! ... show more
