I have been in search of a new laptop for several months now. Because I’m planning to go back to school this fall and my old one was definitely up for retirement. I’ve always wanted a MacBook but have honestly just never been able to afford a brand new one even with a payment plan. Back in February of this year I was scammed, very badly when trying to purchase a refurbished one like this. I lost $1,500 and had to go through hell with my bank to get half of my money back. Since then. I have been EXTREMELY hesitant and skeptical about purchasing another one. I went out on a whim since I am very close to starting school. First off. Shipping was less than a week (I live closer to where the product was shipped out from), when the MacBook came it was very VERY secured in its packaging. Now being that it’s refurbished I was fully content with there being scuffs and scrapes and things like that. BUT when I tell you this thing came to my house like I literally just went to the apple store and bought it brand new….I mean it. EVERYTHING is perfect, all the keys work, the advertised storage that I purchased was correct. Screen, keyboard and battery are perfect. I am so, so very thankful that this did not end up like the first time. I’m so happy and please with this purchase and I never write reviews but I felt the need to write one for this one considering how expensive these products normally are and how most of the time “refurbished” do not even come close to being in pristine condition like this. I hope this helps those that are looking for one, and eases your mind and gives you a better sense of security in your purchase. ... show more

I bought this for my son, who is a video editor. He is thrilled with it. He compiled a video on his older Macbook and it took a little more than 10 minutes. Same video on this new laptop took just over 1 minute. When we received this, the wall charger was not working. Doubledex reached out to me, suggested some troubleshooting, and then shipped us a new charger within 2 days! ... show more

I purchased this to replace my aging MacBook Pro. It is terrible...laggy response times...Bluetooth won't connect...fragile screen...ports don't work after converting to the "dongle life." There are a lot of articles about how Apple needs to change things, I didn't really pay attention because my 8-year-old Macbook was amazing, but now I understand. ... show more

I highly recommended buying from this seller. I purchased 2 refurbished/renewed MacBook Pro laptops. There are a couple of other reviews that showed damage to the Macbooks that they bought. However, the two that I got look and act as if they are brand new. I don't see any damage or marks on them, and every part is working. These laptops are made in 2019 (Macbook Pro, 16 inch, 2019), so essentially 3 years old, but look and act like they are brand new, and I expect them to be good for many years. The laptops were well wrapped and packaged during shipping and delivery which probably helped them from becoming damaged. I've bought refurbished Macbooks directly from Apple before because you can essentially get a like new Macbook for a big discount. It's a really nice computer. Works great, and does everything my daughter needs it to do for school. Runs smoothly. However it does have one costly major flaw. The screens of these laptops are highly sensitive. My daughter got a tiny object in between the screen and the keyboard when she closed it. The next time she opens it in the same day, the screen is damaged. Which in return cause one third of her screen to black out and have lines. When we took it to be repaired, we were told that the screen had impact damage to the screen. When we asked how could this be, being that it hadn't been dropped, hit, or anything of that nature. We was told that something as small as a crumb could get in between the screen and the keyboard, and find the weak spots of the the screen and cause damage. That was a six hundred and twenty-four dollar fix. We had to buy a new screen, it was even used part and have it replaced. We have had other macbook pro before and never had this kind of problem. So if you get one of these, while they are very nice. Be very very careful, because one part can cost you over half what you paid for the computer in the first place. ... show more
