  • Amazing Lightweight sturdy quiet keyboard Amazing
I purchased the aluminum silver ultra slim full keyboard with number keys to work with my Microsoft Surface Book 2. I wanted a USB wired keyboard so that I didn't have to deal with bluetooth or wireless issues. The cord is white, sleek and easy to tuck into so you don't see it. Not a fan of the look of wires, but like their reliability. The keyboard synced automatically with my Surface Book and matches the color -- brushed aluminum. It is metal because my Surface Pro has a magnet in the base and the keyboard was attracted to it. Love at first sight. The keys are very responsive, set apart perfectly for fast typing and the sound is pleasing (none). There are no "decals" and the keys are printed into the plastic so I don't anticipate they will rub off any time soon. My old Dell keyboard had the "s" and "l" keys etched in after 5 years of daily typing with fingernails. The keys have a nice matte feel to them. A nice tactile touch. The space bar is easy to access, as well as "delete", "return" and "tab". It is exceptionally smooth and compact without squishing everything in. The number keyboard works, you just need to unlock it -- by hitting "Clear" on the keypad. The function keys work, volume, brightness, eject, copy and cut. It doesn't slip around at all. In fact, I have to pick it up to move it. It is surprisingly solid for being so light. I had been working on my laptop keyboard (which I love the feel) but found that my neck and wrists weren't happy to type every day for hours on a laptop keyboard on a riser. I should have bought this months ago! I was going to expense it for business use, but I'm going to keep it for myself to use on my personal Mac laptop I love it so much! ... show more

  • CAPS lock light does not work
The media could not be loaded. Update 04/02/2021 For whatever reason, the caps lock light began to work on my keyboard this afternoon so I have increased my overall rating to 5 stars. Thank you. This is a great keyboard, other than the fact that the caps lock light does not work. If you can live with that, you will be happy with it because everything else is wonderful. The keys function smoothly just like a Mac keyboard, it's thin like a Mac keyboard, etc. The noticeable difference between this keyboard and a Mac one is that it does not have a light on the caps lock key. The keyboard looks as though the light up above the 10-key area (icon of a capital "A") should come on when you press caps lock (see attached video and pic). May/Maybe not? The User's Guide that came with makes no mention of what any of the 3 lights on the keyboard are for (one is an icon of a lock, the other is the A and the third is the power (yes, it works). I ordered this keyboard to replace my Mac keyboard after I spilled a drink and a couple of the keys quit working. No, I did not contact the seller about this because quite frankly, it would take too much time and effort to return it. I live in the country and would have to drive a minimum of 30 minutes each way to drop it off at a facility. Although it can be annoying when trying to type passwords (and not knowing if you're caps lock is on), I can live with it for now! ... show more

  • Good alternative to Apple
Bought this because my Apple wireless keyboard was not a full keyboard and I really wanted the number and a few other buttons like "home", "Page Up". "Page Down" and "End" for video and visual FX editing plus I didn't want the concern of having to charge my keyboard. I don't really need a wireless one or the extra worry of having to maintain a charge in the keyboard. I'm not too particular I just need functionality and this keyboard does the trick. It might not be as fast as the Apple when typing because there is a fraction more travel in the keys probably not noticeable for most people, and it's fine for me. Im very happy with the keyboard and price was much better. That's my story..... ... show more

  • Great for the price!
I feel like for the price I shouldn't complain at all. I've had this keyboard for a little over a month and it works great. The only thing I'd change is the size of the Command keys: they are set up and sized differently than on a real Apple keyboard, so it's taken some getting used to. Other than that, I'd definitely recommend it. Just give yourself a little time to retrain your muscle memory, especially you graphic designers -- you're going to be messing up your Adobe shortcuts for a few days. :) ... show more

  • Great replacement keyboard, minor issue with caps-lock light
So grateful Macally is producing this Apple-like keyboard and offering it at a great price...unlike money-grabbing Apple! I prefer the wired keyboard with numbers and became dependent on the one that came with my Mac until I drowned it with a green smoothie. Green smoothies are healthy for me, not for my keyboard. I've had this Macally for four months now. It feels and looks like my Apple keyboard; my one issue so far is that the caps lock light doesn't work so I occasionally have to re-do something I typed accidentally with all caps. This died on me a month ago, but I finally found the issue was with the hub it was plugged into. Macally? Could you fix that issue with the caps-lock light? ... show more

  • great keyboard, great price
Great keyboard. My only complaint, which is the tiniest of nits, is that (compared to the Apple-made keyboard) the Command, Option and Control keys are normal-sized keys rather than being slightly larger. I've accumulated enough muscle memory with the Apple keyboard that I sometimes hit the Option key rather than Command. The reason I bought this keyboard is because Apple no longer makes a wired USB keyboard, and I needed one to work with an older Mac Pro 5,1 I'm modding. It arrived at the perfect time, as I'd run into an issue where I needed to get access to the boot manager while setting up an SSD; the only wired keyboard I had didn't give the right codes during boot. MacAlly to the rescue. ... show more

  • Perfect Keyboard for my Mac Universe
My old Logitech K750 wireless solar powered silver keyboard started glitching at all the wrong times. I replaced the internal battery and wasn't satisfied because of the risk. So I decided to buy a wired keyboard that looks good and was designed for Macs. The Apple version costs way too much for what you get. So I decided to roll the dice on Amazon Prime day. What a great find! I've been using it for months now and knock on wood I am super satisfied with the look, feel and durability. ... show more
