Love this deep treatment. I don't think this is fake either, if it is, it did a pretty darn good job! Most people will sit here and talk about how products are fake but I have yet to come across a fake product sold by Amazon. The jar was sealed and when I opened it, it had a metallic goldish color to it, very thick and smelled amazing. This is the way I applied his: I shampooed my hair with a sulfate free shampoo Then I towel tried it, sectioned my damp hair. Applied this to the sections. I noticed I didn't need much of the product at all. I would take a quarter size and that would enough for half my hair (I have mid back length hair). I rubbed the product in my hands and applied it to my hair, focusing on the ends. Then I put on a shower cap, I waited about 30-45 minutes and rinsed off. And wow!! Hair felt so lightweight, smooth and looked very shiny. I don't think my hair ever felt so light before. No weight down what so ever! Then I lightly brow dried my hair and my hair looked very shiny and insanely smooth and soft. You could tell the hair was just so much more healthier. I love this product and can't wait to use it again! On a side note: I have thick, curly, Indian hair. I do use flat iron, my hair does have some highlights and my hair is dry with some split ends. I am trying to grow out my hair and that's the main reason I bought this. So I could really repair and moisturize my hair so it's healthier. I do snip my own split ends. All this will help :) but do love this product!! Glad I bought the 16oz!

This is an AMAZING hair mask, one of the best I've ever used. I've tried so many different hair masks to repair my damaged hair but this one just blows them all out of the water. NOTE: I've dye, flat iron, blow dry my hair often so it has been physically and chemically abused. I have thick coarse strands that lost it's shine due to too much heat styling so I desperately needed something to save my strands. Many beauty gurus have had so many good things to say about this mask so I decided to try it out with high expectations. After rinsing shampoo out of my hair, I just lather the mask on, concentrating on the ends. The first time I used it, I only left it on for 3 minutes instead of the recommended 6-7mins. I rinsed it off and immediately felt the smoothness in my hair. Then I squeezed all the water out and blow dried my hair to minimize frizz. I was amazed at the results of the hair mask as it restored some shine and smoothness of my thick strands after just one use. The second time I used it, I left it for about 10 minutes with a shower cap on so the mask can soak in a little bit more. After blowdrying, my hair was noticeably shinier and healthier. Now I use this mask about once to twice a week. I know it's going to take a while for my hair to restore it's original state but I can say that this mask is definitely giving a huge helping hand! I've used this for about a month now, and still have plenty left in this giant tub. I'm thinking that this tub will last me for a long while~ it's worth the money since the smaller 8oz tub is about the same price. Please note that healthy hair comes from a good diet and proper hair care so don't forget to eat and sleep well!

I was very hesitant to purchase this product from Amazon because of all the people saying THESE PRODUCTS ARE FAKE!! but the price was so great I gave it a chance. My hair is long, but very damaged at the ends because I always choose to keep my length rather than trim inches. I have split ends and breakage and I have done a lot of coloring/highlighting. My hair is fine and pretty healthy at the root. I had great expectations for this product to help my ends. When I received this product, I went straight to Ulta (which is where I would have purchased this product if not here) and compared what I received to the product in store. They smell pretty much the same and looked pretty much the same..but there did seem to be something off about the one I received. They both actually smelled kind of cheap, like VO5 or Suave tropical scented crap. I mean I am fine with the smell but I was expecting a warm, rich, luxurious kind of scent (like the Macadamia Oil, smells sooo good). They were both kind of shimmery and offwhite. When I fist opened it I thought it was the white color it was supposed to be, but then opening it later to use in the shower I saw the pink kind of tint a lot of people were talking about, maybe it was lighting. When I used it I was expecting a very thick creamy texture, but it wasn't overly creamy or thick..I just can't tell whether its legit or not. Maybe its just my inability to accept that I got a real Macadamia hair product for such a badass price. I guess its either real or a very good fake. I do not feel like it worked magic on my hair, it was just ehh. It did not make my hair "like butter". The first time I used this from root to tip and I do feel like it weighed my hair down & made it a bit oilier. The second time, I worked this thoroughly into my ends & used regular conditioner on my roots. I really do not feel like this product is doing any extra work for my hair. I was previously using Organix Hydrating Macadamia mask and I felt the same (that it was ehh) until one night I slept with it in my hair. After doing that I noticed a difference & made that a once a month kind of routine. Maybe that is what I need to do with this stuff. I will not repurchase this item here. I might consider buying a small container of the same product from Ulta where I know it is legit to see if there is a difference, otherwise I feel fine about repurchasing the hair masks I have always used locally in stores.
