Working perfect so far! I let them talk me into an upgrade from an older desktop OS MAC to the Mini Mac. Took it home & realized I have no way to connect anything to it. I will never understand why MAC did that. fortunately, I came across the perfect Mac Mini Dock. Has all the ports & connections I need and even matches the Mini Mac so it looks like they are one complete stacked unit. As someone who tests a lot of hubs and accessories, this one stands out for the Mac mini M4. The front 10Gbps USB‑A ports are fast and easy to reach, and the SD/TF card readers work exactly as they should. On the back, you get HDMI, DisplayPort, and three more USB‑A ports (5Gbps), plus USB‑C — a practical layout that keeps cable clutter under control. The integrated NVMe slot on the bottom is the highlight. Installation is simple, the magnetic cover is a nice touch, and my drive performs reliably with no heat issues. It’s a clean way to add storage without adding extra boxes to the desk. One small detail I really appreciate: the cutout for the Mac mini’s power button. Apple’s original placement isn’t the most convenient, and this dock solves that by making the button easy to access without reaching around blindly. There’s a Thunderbolt 4 version with much higher speeds, but it’s almost double the price. For everyday workflows, external storage, and general expansion, this model hits the sweet spot. Device works well with a major caveate - when placed under my Mac Mini (M4 Pro) as its designed for, networking slows to a crawl. I needed to purchase an additional USB cable and place it a few feet away and network speeds are as they should be. I still am using it is my USB C Hub and it works well.

5G networking doesn't work.

I'm having two problems. First the cable to connect the mac mini to the dock is not exactly the right size and so the mini sits up above the dock on that corner. The second problem is much bigger. I can't get WIFI-5g working when the dock is connected. I installed a 1TB SSD in the dock and then installed Mac OS Tahoe on that drive. When I boot into Tahoe I can't connect to the 5G network on my router. If I drop back down into sequoia (15.2) on the mac mini internal drive I also can't connect to the 5G network. If I disconnect the dock, then 5g networking works Fine. It seems there's interference between the USB 3.x radio interference and the wifi. It makes me wonder if this is a Thunderbolt cable or just a USB C cable. No matter what the cause this is a problem that's going to need fixing. I'll probably return the dock. ... show more

Great concept, execution could be better.

So far I have no major issues with this dock. There are plenty of inputs so expansion is easy. It is built very well, and the addition of the internal NVME SSD slot is brilliant. If I have any complaints it would be that my Mini, doesn’t seem to sit that well on the unit. If your computer isn’t lined up with precision, the Mac will be all wobbly. This can affects your Mac when you power it on. If you aren’t careful, you will knock it out of alignment when accessing the on button. ... show more
